Im new here lads, has been a very interesting summer already,so far so good with the reported signings, but I wanted to ask everyone here,do you not think that is very strange that we have been linked to douglas costa (the left footed brazilian) for the best part of 3- 4 years now and since his diamond encrusted crook owners wudnt let him here for a trial we have hardly heard of him since, obviously we had that media mess up earlier in march but the point im getting at is,he has everything to a fit enough substitute for giggs.
I have read many interviews from journalist, from saf,and he is hell bent on getting that lad from what i read, quotes such as Once described by Sir Alex Ferguson as "probably the best young player in South America"-http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/association=ukr/news/newsid=1585446.html the lad himself said if he had thee choice from all the clubs linked with him, he would prefer to go united, its been a suprise summer already with jones snapped up hopefully, and I have not heard much from reports linking us to him since obviously the error in march.
What are your views?he plays on the left,on the right,as an attack minded cm and i have studied him extensively lol and i can honestly say this boy has techinique very similar to ronaldinho with his left foot>>>>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcCOJZL9Z_E and .
his manager is not a mug and is realistic in todays climate about his value :
"We got Costa last year and he is doing very well. He is always getting better and he understands our football," the Romanian coach told RadioKissKiss. "But I don't think Napoli would spend €20 million for him. I like Cavani. If they give him to me I will give them Costa." -

very reasonable for me considering now he can handle europe and is only 20( he wouldnt even be registered as part of the 25,please view this video for me

and tell me what you fink, and pay attention from 1.40 onwards,i think the comparisons with ronaldinho are not far off, even tho he is a bit of a midget
I'm convinced SAF is after this boy.

Way down the list on my preferred (realistic) attacking midfielders, after:
Gourcuff
Eriksen (Ajax for those unenlightened)
Javi Martinez
Pastore (Wants to leave Palermo incidentally)

You rate Gourcuff that highly? He's not a name that has been mentioned much of late, though I'm sure we were linked with him about a year ago.

gourcuff has very good ability, but im afraid he aint got the mustard to cut it at a higher level, maybe he was not given the chance at ac milan, but lads, come on who in their right mind finks wenger wud allow nasri to come united, lol he is taking down arsenal with him,and modric although quality will command a fee that requires regular 1st team action and i strongly believe anderson in his natural attacking position will be one of the best in the world.

If we got this guy, we'd play him out wide as he's too small and too attacking to play CM.
With that in mind and with the A.Youg deal imminent, it's pretty obvious we wont be getting him
Having said that, Im sure Fergie has always kept half an eye on him and when he leaves Shakthar, if Fergie is still around, I rate he might approach him

He didn't make it into the Brazil Copa America squad which is a shame. Had a great season and probably deserved it.
