Wolves in Europe

The draw for the second qualifying round is tomorrow (Wednesday 19th June)

I am as confused as you on that wulfrun. Mariupol are entering the competition at this stage but in the draw they are not one of the seeded teams. Wolves are one of the top seeds.

There are 52 teams in the draw tomorrow. Half of them are seeded including Wolves and those teams cannot be drawn against another seeded team. The other half including Mariupol are not seeded and will be drawn against a seeded team.

It would appear that teams enter the competition based on points awarded for where they finish in their leagues. And it would seem Mariupol by finishing 4th in the Ukraine league are able to get byes from the first two rounds whereas Wolves as 7th in the English league only get a bye in the first round.

But once you are in, whether you are seeded or not is based on the individual club coefficients, and Wolves are 13th seeds whereas Mariupol are way down. Weird system

Still seems very odd, so 7th in the PL is worth fewer points than 4th in the Ukraine league or, presumably, 4th in any league, say the league of San Salvador, or even Wales for that matter.

Caernarfon Town, who have a stadium with 600 seats, finished 4th in the Welsh Premier League.

Actually who realyy gives a fck?

actually I meant San Marino, not San Salvador which is in Central America, so even EUFA couldn't seed them in this cup

If we beat Crusaders we will play either Pyunek or Jablonec in the third qualifying round. First leg away on August 8th, second leg at Molineux on August 15th

Pyunek are from Armenia and Jablonec are from Czech Republic

Jablonec the better side of the two but no trip to Armenia is easy. We played Jablonec in a friendly recently didn't we? Lost I think?

Pyunek meet Jablonec on Thursday on the same day we play Crusaders, although that game is at 2:30 in the afternoon. Jablonec will be the likely winners of the tie and are 4/7 to win the first leg away.

We played Jablonec in a friendly in July 2017 as part of our pre season tour of Austria and the Czechs won 1-0. That was our first defeat under the management of Nuno.

No tickets yet on sale for Wolves supporters for the Crusaders away match in Belfast. As their stadium only holds 3,000 how many are we going to get? Maybe none?
