Positivity thread

There's been a lot of negativity surrounding our club at the moment, some of it justified, some of it over the top. But I'm making an article on why we should be positive, and would be glad if you can add to this list:

1) Wenger is a top manager, he made this club what it is, and that will never change. Keep faith with him, we are just in very bad form at the moment.

2) Wilshere's recovery is going well according to him. It is likely we may start to see him back a short while after the next international break, and back to his excellent best by mid- November, most likely.

3) Vermaelan WILL be back by the next international break, that's for sure. Koscielny and Vermaelan will prove to be a good first choice centre back pairing.

4) Szczney is the best young keeper around.

5) We have two home games which we have a good chance of winning, if we do that, it will be three wins on the bounce-which could well bring back the confidence in this team.

6) We're playing more direct football now. Although I loved the football we've been playing for the last 4 or so seasons, slightly more direct football is likely to yield us more wins and hence I'm optimistic.

7) Chamack finally scored , against Blackburn last week.

8) RVP is a Deadly finisher.

9) Alex Oxlade Chamberlain could prove to be the real deal IMO, the boy seems to have everything, in the sense that he has good dribbling, passing, shooting and speed. (obviously these will improve even further, the more practice and first team football he plays).

10) Ryo is RAPID, and a great dribbler and could prove to be a hit in the second half of the season, (when he has adjusted to English lifestyle and Arsenal football playing style).

11) Sagna is a quality right back, and one of the best in the league.

12) Our new signings still need to adjust, and will look more comfortable within a couple of months.

Feel free to add, but no negative comments (even though you might not necessarily be wrong lol).

And before you call me crazy for having such belief in a side that has let us down a bit in the past, I'd like to leave you with a quote from my favourite film, The Shawshank Redemption:

"Hope is a good thing, maybe even the best of things, and no good thing ever dies"

I see what you did there...lol
Seriously though, what is your issue with Arsene? Do you realize that in the previous three seasons prior to Wenger's arrival we were 12th, 10th and 4th. Almost immediately he got us to 1st/ 2nd positions for the following 8 or so years. If it wasn't for his earlier successes, we certainly wouldnt be at the Emirates.
Its a little harder for him now because he has unfortunately had to deal with a lot of merenaries eg Fabregas, Nasri, Hleb, Adebayor, Flamini, who haven't been loyal to him. Also coupled with the fact that teams like City and Chelsea can just 'buy' anyone they want, whilst his board aren't particularly supportive of him eg 6 million for Cahill??.

I liked your positive article apart from the obvious. I like it so much I will not mention "him" as it will send me into negativity mode.

Let's just keep things positive here eh !

stop with this, There was Arsenal before Wenger, the rest is fairly spot on.

Yes there was Arsenal before Wenger, and the club will continue even after Wenger (in 14 years :D )
However, you have to realise what he has done for this club. In the 90 or so seasons, prior to Arsene's arrival. We only were top four in 20 of those occasiions. Whilst since he has been at Arsenal it is an impressive 14 out of 14. That sort of consistency if phenomenal IMO. He does have flaws, but overall a fantastic asset to the club.

agreed, but there will be a point where every good man has had his last day. I hope this is not Wenger and hoping for a turnaround
