Friendlies

Not a fan of them, you either think you're superb by pumping some pash team or sheite cause you get pumped by another pash team, tonight was nae different, first half was decent, second was hard work, Morgan impressed me, looked to get past players, Bayo took his goal well and overall looked no too bad, good to see wee Leigh back playing fitba and Ajer continues to impress me

Other than that, and a fcking NIPPY link it wasn't the best 90mins of the week, still a wins a win

They don't matter, but even after such a short break I'm usually glad when they come around.

Best part about them is getting to see some of our young players who may be pushing for a place in the future, they are usually the ones who are trying to impress, the regulars just generally go through the motions trying to avoid injury.

Friendlies are as much use as the entertainment in this hotel.

I remember seeing a young & unknown Paul McStay early 80's

in such circumstances.

I would have loved to see McStay start his Celtic career in the last eight years. What a player the guy was, deserved to win much more than he did.

Early days with Paul guys standing around said he was too skinny to ever

make it at the top level. He bulked up OK as many an opponent found.

I find it hard to think of Paul without a sideways to Tommy Burns.

2 accomplished professionals without big egos.

Played hard but fair never a bad word or an over-reaction.
