James, AWB, Bruno, Maguire, Longstaff

If we ended the window with these additions and the current attackers (Pogba gone) would you consider this a good window?

Moussa

To be fair Toby of Harry is a no brainer really.

Our man Ed doesn't have the brains.

If toby isnt interested then fair enough but the fact you've not even approached him to find out is insane imo

You would think there would be some interest from someone for him.

Are you just trying to buy a top 4 slot or are you actually trying to buy the league?

So far we're not doing either

Wasnt RW always the thing man United fans said needed improving? Seems to have been (arguably fairly) neglected in favour of midfield and defence.

RW remains the priority - but more important is a midfielder, or two if Pogba goes. But before we can think about that, we need a solid and experienced CB. That’s the main thing.

We are waiting for Sancho. We’ll spend £100m on him next season.

Do these (potential) signings improve the side that came 6th last season?

James - No
AWB - Likely yes
Bruno - Yes
Maguire - Likely yes but would mean pressing high becomes too risky
Longstaff - No

Not sure that's remotely close to enough to make a major difference. What could obviously make a huge difference is your current players improving but these signings seem very mediocre bar Bruno

One aspect that hasn't been mentioned by others much is how much injury takes a toll in the team. We have been horrendous in that aspect for many seasons now. We need to sort that ASAP. Many of our first team players would be back up players of what we had ten years ago. And our current back up players aren't good enough to push us forward when our first tamers are out. Our formed started to dive after we had our injuries and players then returning from them.

Good? No... Not quite

Decent or acceptable... Yeah probably

I would say it's been a poor window.

Fernandes would be a good signing, goals from midfield and a better attitude than Pogba but less ability. Fair replacement though especially if you can get him for around 50% of Pogba price.

AWB is a good signing, but it's mostly potential you paid for but he improves the first 11.

Longstaff is a strange one, not played nearly enough at this level. A squad player when you need quality for the first 11. Although maybe he can prove people wrong he's still young and supposedly got bags of potential.

James is lightning quick so on that alone he will be a helpful player to have around, if he can get better.

Maguire is the scary one at 90m or so. It's just far far too much money even in this market. He's not Van Dijk, he won't transform your defence in the same manner. He will be your best CB but not by much imo. Would be much more sensible to go find another cheaper option because you can get easily as good for half the price or less if you can convince Alderweireld.

Would leave much more budget available to strengthen further as even with those players you need another 2/3 more quality players to make it a good window.

Replacements for Pogba and Lukaku on top.

At this stage, I'd take that for our summer window.

Not ideal but 5 players who could hopefully be part of the squad for 5/6 years.
