Sounds like Frank is wanting to help us out.

Not sure if Drinkwater would drop down a division. He'd most likely move to a lower half PL side. Additionally we have four players that can play in the DM role. Shinnie, Huddz, Thorne ( whether he's picked is another question) and Evans.

Des ” Huddz Thorne and Evans are not good enough, let’s hope Cocu can see this, I think we also need a centre half with pace, we look very slow with Davies and Keogh at the back👌

Oh for the days when you could get Dave Mackay or Paul McGrath to do a twilight shift!

Wassa name another Championship central defender faster than Keogh. I remember Keogh beating Vardy to the ball in a chase so he can't be that slow. Davies I agree is slow.

Agreed they're not as good in quality, but it'll be the same mistake all over again. We need to move someone out in a DM position before getting one in. Last season we had a plethora of strikers ( paying a % of their salary whilst on loan elsewhere) which restricted getting quality players in such as Mings for example.

Before getting an expensive loan signing in an over inflated position we definitely need to move a player out.

BJ has gone, Butters looks like he is going, wouldn’t surprise me if Huddz or Thorne go too before the season starts. Remove Mount from the equation too and we are looking very poor in midfield. Drinkwater would definitely be a statement but i would be amazed if he was to drop down to the championship.

But surely Frank would see the possibilities with Derby's infrastructure and the new, experienced Dutch manager and a friendly Mel. I don't think Chelsea or Tomori or Mount regret the Derby loan.

Surely the only thing stopping him playing in the championship would be his ego?

Maybe he still hanks after an international call-up? Can Heb get him Scottish citizenship?
