Hello Stoke fans,
In preparation for the match tomorrow where you play hosts to Manchester United at the loverly looking Britainnia Stadium, (not been in sadly, but it looks nice when driving past it) I was wanting to get the thoughts of Stoke fans.
Are Stoke playing well? Any injuries/star players to look out for? What are the expectations for the season? How does Delap throw that far? And how does Jones, despite being so tall do a backflip? It doesnt make sense if anything he should get halfway round then drill himself into the ground...
Formation wise I think United will line up like so
Goalie - De Gea
Defenders - Smalling - Evans - Ferdinand/Jones - Evra
Midfield - Nani - Anderson - Fletcher - Young
Forwards - Rooney - Owen/Berbatov

I think hernandez is fine thats why i have put him there didn't fergie say it was a bump? but i think we will play the team which is currently geling and on form.

I don't think there are any Stoke fans that use this forum.
I live in Stoke and have friends that go there, I also see a fair amount on the dodgy tv channels in my local.
They are very well organised and won't concede many at all (apart from last weekend) The danger obviously comes from set plays with the big men in the box, have two decent wingers too.
The Delap throws are getting less and less effective.
If you are going wrap up, might be a nice sunny day but always effing freezing.

God not Carrick please, Stoke are going to battle in the middle and Carrick has the body strengh of a startled child, at least Fletcher gets himself about.

there must be a Stoke fan somewhere, and yes I agree there will be an threat from crosses to deal with so will need the wingbacks to close down quickly, interesting to see if they have recovered from their European matches yet.

I have a lot of respect for Stoke. They bought well and are no push overs. Think we'll get a scrappy - hard fought 2:0 win.

Smallings is a doubt sadly. Carrick/Ando is our best available midfield paring so hope it will be those 2.

You have to remember they did play 120 mins plus penalties midweek which we rested our 1st team. I still think they'll give us a good game.
