Poch has been his typical, magnanimous self when asked if Troy Parrott would be given a chance in the first team this season:
"He's still so young but we will see what happens at the end of the transfer market," said Pochettino.
"If we still have the squad we have today of course he's going to have the chance to be part of the first team."
The way I see it we have 4 options.
1. The old guard
Llorente has supposedly been offered reduced terms to sign up for another season. Another year older and slower, I don't see the value in it personally.
2. NEW STRIKER
Spend a decent amount of our budget on someone like Mandzukic or a proven PL talent like Callum Wilson. Taking a punt on a cheap signing with a bit of promise is almost certainly a waste at this point, as we saw with Janssen.
3. Versatile forwards
Though Dybala is a pipe dream a player like him, another Son if you will, is what we should be looking at IMO. It would add competition for places, cover for Kane, and it would make it easier to guarantee them playing time.
4. Do nothing
Parrott becomes a senior striker though likely fourth choice behind Son and Moura. Not a disaster by any means, but it's asking for trouble if Kane is out for any length of time.
I hope we get a forward in - improving the depth in midfield is great but all too quickly fixtures and injuries will pile up. Give Parrott a few minutes in the cups to see how he copes, without the pressure of replacing H.

I'd be happy with Parrott. The situation with him and the club is very similar to Kane when he was just starting to show his ability, minus few years away from the club that Kane experienced which helped him develop.
Parrott is already a live-wire, and seems at ease laying off passes or making a space to shoot. If he keeps his head down and continue to learn from Kane and grow under Poch, he'll be another gem of a striker for us

The plus point for him is that fans are likely to be patient because they've seen it all before with Kane.
If you produced another Kane, that would be remarkable!

Parrott story is so similar to Kane's that fans and to an extent the team, could forgive certain misgivings and allow the player to grow.
Unlike Janssen, who was given no chance at all because he came with a reputation which was unfounded as we've realised, and he ended up disappointing fans and the team
The striker position is like the goal keeping position, there is nowhere to hide

And if it does, as well as Lo Celso and NDombele, Levy will have spent north of 225 Mil GBP.

Of course we need another forward... you’d be crazy to think otherwise.
We’ve just got rid of Janssen... I’m praying that we don’t bring back Llorente either..
Another pacy forward please.. Dybala would be wonderful.. but can’t see it happening.
