This is really bizarre. If Zidane decides to bring him back into the first team fold after his comments last week that may well be the biggest u-turn I’ve ever seen.

Wages and tax.

They would pay him a hefty wage.

But any transfer fee they pay would mean they have to pay an equal amount in tax. So if the fee is £50m, I will the club ends up paying £100m with the tax included. This is only for foreign purchases as the Chinese government wants to increase local talent.

Then a loan deal, with the Chinese paying his wages, would probably have been a better arrangement?
