Loans aren't nearly as cheap as many assume. I heard we're paying like £15m as the loan fee for Ceballos. Coutinho would cost a lot to loan as well. The move might make sense if we got rid of Mkhi and/or Ozil, but that isn't happening.

If Barca want to trade Lacazette for him though (heard they were interested earlier in the summer), I'm up for that. There's a player somewhere in Coutinho that can be rediscovered if he escapes his Barca nightmare.

For argument's sake, what if we shift Mkhi and get in Coutinho on a loan to buy? I'd argue that does make sense.

For Barca. Bad for Arsenal IMO.

The way the window is going you just would not be surprised at all... but I cannot see it. We have Ozil on £350,000 a week, gotta sell Mk and have just loaned in Cabellos (I assumed to replace Ramsey).

In terms of value for money on the £27,000,000. I’m guessing that includes wages? If he came and helped us get back into champions league, Europa league challenge etc,. Then sure, money wouldn’t be a problem. But hindsight is a pretty thing.
