Patience and not overreacting to defeat

Hopefully as a fan base we're going to learn to adjust our expectations given our current circumstances and the transfer ban etc.

We're going to have varied results this season and plenty of ups and downs. Maybe even some big defeats. So we're going to have to be much more patient than normal and accept that we're very much a work in progress.

We can all see exactly what the club are trying to do, with much more significance given to our youth players, at least for a season anyway while we can't buy players. And personally I couldn't be happier with this approach.

We also have a young manager with huge potential learning his trade and inevitably he's going to make mistakes sometimes, that's all part of the learning process. As fans we're going to have to back our man all the way in his first year or two while he learns on job.

Obviously there are no guarantees of anything in football but in Lamps I do think we have someone with all the attributes needed to be a top manager. Time will tell but his journey is going to be much easier if he knows he has the understanding and patience of the fans.

I’m yet to hear a convincing one.

You’ve lost by far and away your best player and one of your best defenders. It’s obviously not the same squad that finished 3rd.

Why because you believe it is true, thus it cant be argued with?

Superb

What we are doing as a club this season will quite possibly set us up for the next few years. A young side with top class youth players. No transfers money in the bank to spend on World class players in 1 or 2 areas.

Super Frank culling the deadwood and problem players

I'm buzzing.

We may finish 6th which I doubt but its not this season frank will be judged

Anyone calling for his head at any point this season need their heads checked. I have already seen a few on ere that are going to...

This season is a gimme

What I will say is I think we will beat united on Sunday. Ole isn't really In charge there. Pogba remains. Its quite desperate from united that they didn't get rid of their main problem other than Woodward.

Just look at the football they played at the end of last season no one was playing for ole. Even when they could have easily qualified for the CL

ARSENAL have a poor defence and midfield
Spurs have done good business just about brings them on par with our squad
Liverpool have VAR to contend with this season and city are city

United should be more worried about Leicester and wolves than us

Spurs and arsenal can fight it out for who finishes above who and we can concerntrait on pushing City and being competitive once again

Be fair, if you are gonna pick something out on this article this is probably the one. Especially this:

Bad luck today Brummie and Superb. Score didn’t reflect the game. There was a lot of promise in your first half performance. Our superior forwards were the difference in the end.

Cheers Darren, the scoreline definitely didn't reflect the game but football can be very strange that way. If we score one of the two occasions that we hit the woodwork in the first half then it's a different game.

Not to mention a silly mistake from Zouma to give away the pen for your first goal which definitely swung momentum. It was an uphill battle after that.

I'm still excited about the season though which is probably an unusual thing to say straight after a 4-0 defeat. As I said in my OP we're going to have days like that with a younger and less experienced team and manager, hopefully not too many of them though of course.

Old Trafford away and then playing the European Champions in your first two games isn't the start I would have picked as I suspected we might lose both games but picking ourselves up for Leicester at the weekend is the most important thing.
