There’s A Reason Why We Can’t Score

Of course today the referee and penalties.
But we have a problem, only Bamford, Klich and Pablo will probably score regularly. That’s not enough players, the make up of the team is wrong.
Bielsa to blame, change it before it happens again and again.

Yep i like Klich a lot and want him to do well.

However if you think about the first two games and towards end of last season hes been poor

2 blatant trying to con the ref penalties. But 1 stone wall pen. I

Reckless kick that connected with the Leeds player’s calf and the push a couple of minutes before the end were penalties on most fields most weeks.

I’m assuming that you agree with the first and not the second?

If so, please try the following exercise:

Stand on one foot only. Close your eyes and then raise that foot so that your heel is up and only toes are in contact with the floor. Have someone stand next to you and blow on your cheek or tap your upper arm, and tell us whether you remain in that position or stumble.

Which is why I think he wasn’t convinced by the one that definitely was a penalty.

Agree.

Said this myself. Forshaw was a disgrace and should have been booked. If you keep appealing and i think both players and crowd appealed for maybe 10 penalties over the course of the game its going to get in the mind of the referee that you are playing for penalties and hes less likely to award you one.

Problem with players falling over is Refs and Linesmen look at it and the next game they think foul or fall!..

Its like crying Wolfe!..

Whatever any of you say, the ref yesterday was dreadful. There was no consistency whatsoever. He booked Phillips for his reckless challenge, but a NF player did one almost identical and the ref didn’t even give a foul. The 2 points lost, because we didn’t get the penalty, can be the difference between getting promotion or failing again.

You are absolutely right. I think Leeds fell into that mindset of over appealing. Also, Forshaw’s one was a dive so you can’t blame the ref for subsequently feeling a bit dubious about the subsequent appeals.

Nonsense!

The reckless kick on Dallas’ calf was an obvious foul.

Obvious error!

Yes, it was an error but what we are saying is that the ref had seen some Leeds players go down a little too easily in the box prior to that and it may have influenced his decision not to give the penalty.

I understand what you are saying and that naturally affects some decisions.

Should not have affected that one though as it was a clear foul and caution.
