Old Firm fans are spoilt. Absolutely spoilt.
The past few days has really highlighted that for me.
We demand success or at the very least wins. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever but what has been lost is the enjoyment. Fans now go for an expectation of a win, if they don't think we'll win they won't go and if we don't win they moan about the cost of it saying it was wasted.
Some posters on here typify a lot of what is being said "I drove x amount of hours, spent x amount on fuel, x amount on tickets all for nothing"
It's not for nothing. You follow your team because you enjoy it. Guess what, life isn't a bed of roses.
I want us to win as much as anyone but I don't go and moan about the cost of it. JFK's dad got it spot on a few years back - if we get to jump around and cheer a bit then that's the memories we'll remember. Absolutely and we did it 3 times the other night. We left gutted but they moments of pure joy will remain.
If fans want to moan about how much it cost to go see their team get beat 4-3 at home then perhaps think about the non-OF fans. St Mirren fans for example will still travel to Pittodrie, Tynecastle etc regularly. They go in the HOPE of a win but they also go to enjoy the time with friends, family, kids sharing a passion.
