Sanchez

Going by reports today he wants out.

All well and good if he’s willing to take a pay cut because no one will match his wages.

For me there’s no point loaning him out and paying most of his wages. We’d be better off keeping him if that’s the case.

In fairness to Sanchez I don’t think he’s a disruptive influence and I don’t think you can question his attitude either it just seems like he’s lost it a bit like Rooney and Torres did in their late 20s.

For me it should be someone takes him and pays his full wage or he stays.

Remember how good he was at Arsenal? What happened?

Yep, he has just got too many miles on the clock. That last injury at Arsenal did for him.

He played a lot of football in the last 4/5 years before joining us, averaging over 60 games per season for club and country. I think he might have overdone it during the period and it has wrecked his body. He doesn't have that explosive acceleration anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's probably got implosive acceleration now.

He starts off slow, and the harder he runs the slower he gets, till he's just moving on the spot.

Actually think Sanchez would be decent in this Ole styled "blitzkrieg" football.

Call me overly optimistic but I think Sanchez should get a shot here.

I agree.

Agreed, shame we didn’t tour in America this summer.

Neither Torres nor Rooney were this shockingly bad when they went over the cliff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep that’s the thing. I actually think Rooney and Torres, at this moment in time, are better players than Sanchez.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be fair, in Rooney's case in particular, he had more variety to his game - he's a goal scorer, he could ping a pass 60-70 yards etc...

Sanchez is a winger who ended moving more centrally and as his physical powers has regressed, there's simply little left to show for it.

Torres has the luxury of being a striker so although not as good as he was by any stretch, was at least close enough to the goal to show moments.

Sanchez doesn't have the speed he had to be effective out wide and, although very good technically, is much too loose with the ball to be effective purely as a playmaker. He's totally done.

The possible way we could at least something from him is as a back-up #9, and that's because he still has good movement and can finish - he just can't get himself into scoring positions from out wide.

His technical ability has always been suspect. His touch, control and passing has always been very erratic but he made up for it with his quick feet and dynamism. Now that’s gone he’s facked.

Good points Berba. But would you have him at no.9 ahead of any of Rashford, Martial or Greenwood? The answer for me is no. So would be best to get rid.

Sanchez is not even good enough for the U-23s at this point. Possibly the worst transfer for a top player since the PL started.

He should be paid off to get out of the club to be honest.

Just seen that AC Milan, Juve and Napoli are all supposed to be interested. It was in The Mail, so likely a load of bull, but hopefully one of them takes him on a permanent deal. I think that we just need to clear the decks a bit and get rid of some of the deadwood. If we could get shut of Darmian, Sanchez and Rojo, that would make our transfer window look a whole lot better to me.

Sanchez will have to be paid off. Best Wed do is he agrees a new contract with one of those teams, we pay off the difference and no transfer fee is exchanged.

Darmian should be sold at whatever we can get. There is no point him staying as he is far behind anyone who could play.

Rojo is the only one we could get a half decent fee for. As much as I like his attitude, he isn't at the level we need a player to be.

I think over the next 3 years we'll see Bailly, Smalling and and Jones leave.
