Future of Fosu-Mensah

TFM is still out injured following the knee ligament damage he suffered whilst out on loan at Fulham. I haven't heard too much about his injury of late, but believe it will be a couple more months before he is ready to play again.

What do you think will happen when he gets back? I think that Ole will likely give him a chance to show what he can do. I am not convinced that he will ever force his way into the first team now. AWB will make the right back spot his own, HM, Lindelof and Tuanzebe are all ahead of him at CB. That only leaves the DM spot - I suspect that McT will end up playing there. However, it would be interesting to see TFM and McT playing deep, with Pogba ahead of them.

Most likely though I think that any future TFM has at United will be as a utility player.

Playing RB has stunted his growth as a player imo. He should have been playing DM

My best mate supports Fulham and is probably the best authority on his time there

Said at first he was brilliant and everyone thought he would be a proper star but injured his shoulder and was never the same. Picked up more injuries as time went on and no one really wanted him there for another season

Hope he can come back from it

I heard he’s not back until 2020.

He can play in holding midfield as well, he got injured playing there for Jose once. Maybe he still can force his way through with Matic and Fred being his competition. I rated him a lot under LVG and he had a high ceiling in my opinion. Hopefully Ole gives him a chance and he can stay fit.

I would be interested in seeing him in there. I think that he might have the makings of a decent DM from what I saw. He is very quick and can get around the pitch - would be nice to have some energy in that position.

I didn't watch much of Fulham, but heard mixed reviews. Some said that he played well when he was in the team, others said that he was poor and couldn't get in the team ahead of other options that they considered to be average.

Imagine having TFM, McT and Pogba in a 3 man midfield! The shortest one is 6ft 3". We'd have to get Moyes back in to play some moneyball.

To be honest they had some horrendous defenders and coaching there was bad. Ream, Le Marchand, Odoi were no where near PL level. They made a lot of common errors.

He’s had a strange career so far. Not that long ago he was starting for his country and last season he couldn’t get into the Fulham team over the awful Cyrus Christie.

I wouldn’t give up on him yet though there’s enough there to suggest he could be a player.

I thought your best mate was a Bournemouth fan, didn't you go to watch Utd for the one and only time at Bournemouths ground with him?
