Pochettino: "I Love VAR"

Here's the post match interview in which Pochettino is interviewed about his feeling on VAR ......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SunrmnYdkvw

There seems to be a great deal of confusion among the posters on this board as to exactly what VAR is. Some seem to think it is Almighty God. Some that it makes decisions for us, and for the referees. Some that it is a devilish invention of the FA or FIFA or Donald Trump!
None of those is true.
VAR is simply a tool to aid referees in making their decisions. And it is NOT a guarantee that the referee, having consulted VAR, will get the decision he has to make, right. The referee may still get the decision wrong. But VAR does make that eventuality a lot less likely.

As life with VAR goes on, and everyone gets used to it, you will one day wonder what all the fuss was about. VAR is good technology. Get used to it!

The rule hadnt changed in euro tho. Everyone was getting handball in cl last season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you talking about? Can you show me where in the CL a player got hand ball against him for an accidental handball into the goal?

Nowhere, it didn't happen, you've made it up.

Spurs' goal rightly stood. They have since changed the rule and now you're complaining about it. You can't have it both ways.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In europa. Utd v psg
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What? That was completely different and nothing to do with a goal. It was the PSG defender making himself bigger and blocked a shot with his arm.

You're making things up. You can't have it both ways.

The rules was different for different for a defender making himself bigger to stop a goal and for an attacker scoring a goal with an accidental handball.

This season it is handball for an attacker even if its accidental.

I don't like any of the handball rules but they were all correct according to the laws at the time.
Like I said the one in the final was according to the new one for defenders so we do know how you feel

No, the one in the final was already in place and used throughout the CL last season. He made himself bigger and gained an advantage, blocking the cross. Penalty. Same as the PSG one, amongst others. They were consistent with it. It was stupidity from Sissoko.
