Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is likely to revert to the XI that faced Leicester after making nine changes for Thursday night's win over Pyunik.

Forwards Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez are among those expected to return to the starting line-up.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær says Alexis Sanchez is "very close" to a return following his late start to pre-season training.

Defenders Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah remain out with knee injuries.

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo: "It's a new game, for sure, totally different to what we did [against Manchester United] in the past.

"We know we're going to face a very tough opponent - fantastic players, all over the place. We want to compete. We want to play."

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: "Wolves are a hard team to break down. They defend deep and they don't give you a lot space.

"But our form, our attitude and the mood of course after a win is great, so we go into Monday's game confident."

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Wolves were undefeated in three matches against Manchester United in all competitions last season.
They are aiming to win three consecutive meetings for the first time since 1980.
United have lost more Premier League away games at Wolves than they have won (W2, L3). The only other three teams they've faced at least five times away and have a negative record against are Chelsea, Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday.
Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves are unbeaten in eight successive league games at home, a run which includes a victory over Manchester United.
They are aiming to win three consecutive top-flight fixtures at Molineux for the first time since November 1980.
Their 16 points earned against established top-six sides last season was the division's third-best record, behind Manchester City and Liverpool.
They have never won a Premier League game on a Monday in five previous attempts. Only Hull, with 10, have played more Monday games in the division without winning.
Manchester United

Manchester United are without a victory in their last four Premier League away games, their worst run since a seven-game streak between April and November 2014.
They only won two of their nine Premier League away matches last season against the other teams that finished in the top half of the table.
They have won 68% of their Premier League games played on a Monday, which is the highest on a specific day of the week for any team (who have played a minimum of 10 games on that day).
Paul Pogba, with 10 goals and eight assists, has been directly involved in nine more goals than any other player since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over.

Traore's pace and physique makes him a pretty fearsome opponent but he has been struggling for an end product for Wolves. That is certainly coming now and he can be a big asset if we can get the best out of him. I always thought it would be the right decision to release Costa and Cavalairo and retain Traore and still believe that will prove to be the case

Still has a lot to prove for me, a good half here or there needs to turn into a good game most weeks but it is good to see an improvement. I don't see him keeping out a fully fit Doherty though and think Jonny is under more threat from Vinagre.

Have to assume Traore will start on Thursday as things stand and Doherty is not 100% and i wonder if Cutrone will get the start also

Was at the match last night, good after a poor start from both teams. 1-1 definitely a fair decision.

The 2 taking points:

1. Definitely the best 45 minutes I've seen from Traore. I have been one of his biggest critics, but was pleased when he replaced Doherty who had a really indifferent first half. I hope I am wrong big time when I have said Traore will never make it for Wolves, signs are promising. Personally I would start Doherty on Thursday, because he will improve with more match time, and if he does so then Nuno will have a definite decision to make for the next league game.

2. VAR is shiite. The crowd was hugely affected last night. 2 games in and the game has already changed for the worse. The Wolves fans were chanting their derision for VAR even AFTER the Neves goal was allowed. It has to go or at least be radically modified.

I think the start to the season has been more than OK so am still quietly confident

Haven't suffered a defeat yet in our first 8 games this term, Asia games included. Bad news is a defeat is coming sometime soon

will settle for that defeat being on Sunday 17th May when we have already secured the title with over 100 points

united played us well, bisaka and maguire have improved their defence , as it should for £130 mill, and our main out ball to jota was ineffective. they couldn't cope so well with traore and it was that that got us the goal - a message for those wolves fans who think he's useless.
you know who you are.

I said it as it was, but

As I posted, at last Traore has shown us something, I can only hope that he carries on improving.
As I said earlier he needs a run in the team.

Most irritating thing about last night was Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville spending almost the entire post match discussion talking about Manchester United and the Pogba penalty that was saved. It's almost as if there was only one team on the pitch.

I pay for Sky as I have a good laugh at the "PUNDITS"

Most of them don't know their a**e from their elbow.

The latest joke was Ian Holloway on last night and blaming the EU for VAR, and mentioning Brexit. He is being right royally ridiculed all over Twitter today.
