Mental Health Issues

Thankfully much more in the limelight lately and everyone maybe knows someone affected by mental health issues. Leigh Griffith's had his much publised 6/7 months out of the game due to his own demons.

Personally just been made aware of family relative of my wife (47) who had taken the easy way out last weekend without speaking to anybody. Did a days work as a joiner, went home, actually went out to the shop that evening for messages and sometime later that evening took that fateful decision. He did some work on my house earlier this year and in my opinion a more unlikely candidate you would be hard to find.

Please please anybody affected by mental health issues go and speak to people who can help you get through it.

Have to attend a wedding down in England this week and probably a funeral next week......

"That stuff's like licking oot yer sister, it tastes the same but it's just no right."

I don't really want to talk about this subject so I'm not going to read the thread or put my own oar in. Just wanted to say I'm sorry for you and your family's loss and hope there's some relative light and the end of the tunnel

Chaps.. what a wonderful read this thread has been.. sometimes, when you read things, it makes you question things that you've been feeling down about, and it allows more perspective.

Amazing really, thanks chaps

the sun keeps coming up on a morning, I think I'm going to enjoy it a little more

as for candidates for mental illness, makes no odds does it?.. money, power, rich, poor, tall, small whatever.. sometimes we see what we want to see...

if I zoomed out, and looked at myself and the things I have, the life I lead, my kids etc etc as if it was somebody else's life.. I'd think, 'wow, thats one lucky guy'

everyone who's on this thread, thanks man

Had a new fully gas cooker arrive a couple of days ago (steady pointy) bayonet connection for the gas - straightforward enough...direct replacement for the old - but came with a plug presumably powering just the ignition and clock.. I have no socket within distance.. I am using an extension lead and everything seems fine but was reading the manual yesterday and it stipulates DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CABLE!!!?? Ive used it a couple of times now and its constantly plugged in... safe mate??
