As the anguish mounts at my non-attendance, along with the varities of NSRs, to this season defining game for Florest where they will stake a strong claim to claiming the League Cup in addition to the Championship title which is already sewn up.
Derby are stuttering whilst Florest have amazed their fans by still having a manager and winning games - a heady mix of euphoria and a sense of stepping into the unknown. Anyway back to stuttering.
Lots of huff and puff and being nearly there for Derby and an average though very far from disastrous start to the season. Cocu is still 'experimenting' and until key players are back (NOT an excuse) it is difficult to ascertain the sum of all Derby County's parts.
Is the Cup one to go for or do you concentrate on getting out of this league? Is it a distraction? Trouble is no-one wants to lose this one evn it means a distracting away tie a minor League 2 club in the next round.
The Kennel should be bouncing on Tuesday night as the Faithful (Away Members Section - £40 per season use their allocated priority tickets but will somehow forget to buy one for Bristol City in cold, dark February) make the short trip down to the Dark Side of the '52.
(BTW, on a sentimental note, good to see Rev back - one of the stalwarts of 606 and it IS football innit?)

Take out 34 year old Curtis Davies ( a player who has hardly played for a year) and the average goes the other way. 2 players making their debut, two with only two first team games under their belt. Sounds a very inexperienced side, probably weaker than the team we put out against Scunthorpe.

Take out 31 year old Albert Adamoah and it’s 10 v 10...and our side is still younger.
We won, you lost. 3,331 travelling fans clearly didn’t care either, they just wanted an excuse to leave Derby.
