Matic and Lukaku

The papers are all over the rumour he may be on his way out before the window closes. I love the way the deadwood is either being sold off or left out of the match day squad altogether BUT what’s the point if we don’t replace them? Hopefully Ole will be introducing Garner, Chong and Gomes asap if Matic and Sanchez are to leave as well. Our starting 11 needs more creativity and playing both McT and Lingard won’t cut it, only room for one of them imo.

As for Lukaku...

Back at it again!

Lukaku is one of the best forwards of his type in the world. He's the type of striker the English used to produce in abundance but has disappeared over the last thirty years. The last truly top quality one was Drogba and Diego Costa is a good example. Lukaku's biggest downfall is he tries to rely on his mobility ALL the time when the big lump should be looking to bully defences some of the game too. The best strikers of this type mix it up and live on the edge.

Having said that, those people making out he's an awful striker and United are better off without him are deluded. At the moment, the Premier League has an under-strength Chelsea because the can't sign players and a United team choosing to rely on and sign lightweight players (Maguire the exception although he is never as good as you all believe).

Exactly. He was a reliable source of goals for the team. That’s more valuable than most united fans seem to realise

He’s gone to a team to play for a MUCH better manager than United currently have to play CL football and challenge Juve for the title, something they have a great chance of doing.

You can sit here like some weird, obsessed 8 year old and post videos of a poor first touch while he actually trades up (not in terms of club size but more in terms of where both clubs are headed in the near future)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's gone because the manager didn't want him, and whilst waiting for his move acted like an 8 year old. Personally, I didn't buy into ALL the criticism he got while he was here. He handled himself atrociously in the summer and I'm glad he's gone. We are rebuilding, and it will take time. If you don't recognise that or have the patience for it then what are you doing here?

I’m only responding to the OP needlessly posting a video of a guy having a poor touch in a moment of a game where all accounts the manager was happy with him and his debut went well.

We’re stuck with a manager most realise is out of his depth and Lukaku has gone to play for someone (Conte) who would likely have been a better fit for our needs.

I really don’t see why anyone would mock Lukaku when he’s actually improved his career whereas we as a club are miles from being able to mock anyone

Utd fans realise he is not a reliable source of goals when he is needed.

Once again, happy for him to be a success elsewhere. He was not going to achieve that here.

Manager out of his depth managed to get more out of the players that the "Special One" did.
