On Sunday Wolves travel to Liverpool to face Merseyside’s second best team.
Everton have had a bit of a revamp during the summer in preparation for their latest assault on that elusive top 6 place, having spent just in excess of £100m but keeping the books nicely balanced with outgoings totalling around £85m.
They brought in highly rated 19-year old Italian striker Moise Kean, the deal being widely regarded as a coup for the Toffees who paid Juventus around £25m + add ons.
Their other signings of note were French international right back Djibril Sidibe, on loan from AS Monaco, Andre Gomes from Barcelona, Fabian Delph from Manchester City, Jean-Philippe Gbamin from Mainz and Alex Iwobi from Arsenal.

Wolves summer transfers were a little more low-key. After making permanent the loan signings of striker Raul Jimenez and midfielder Leander Dendoncker, the emphasis was on bringing in exciting young players. These included striker Patrick Cutrone from AC Milan, defender Jesus Vallejo from Real Madrid, midfielder Bruno Jordao and forward Pedro Neto from Lazio and Azerbaijan international striker Renat Dadashov from Estoril.

At the close of last season Everton finished 1 place and just 3 points below Wolves in the table with Leicester just a further 2 points adrift. All the signs are that it will be those three teams that once again apply the pressure to the established top six this season.
Who will come out on top of the 3 club mini-league only time will tell with all three making positive starts to the season.

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports

Gems prediction: 1-1

Just looking at the upcoming games for September it's no wonder that we are expected to bomb in the league.
Between 14th September and 6th October we play a total of 7 games. That is 7 games in a space of 22 days!!

That’s the positive and negative of European football. I would rather be in Wolves position and playing these games rather than domestic comps only.

This is the domestic derby for me, well sort of she hasn't moved in yet. Can't lose this or life will be unbearable.

We watched the end of the Lincoln game together on Wednesday and the league cup draw and I really enjoyed quipping in with, "oh yeah the big clubs come in this round don't they? "

I bet she thought this was a safe relationship footy wise when you said you were Wolves. Little did she know.

She was just relieved I wasn't a red. Wouldn't have one in the garden I think was the phrase.

Win tomorrow we're in the top 6 - where we belong.

Was a tough physical game. Think Richarlison and Digne knew they had been in a game. That RWB looks like mike Tyson crosses with Linford Christie.
