Taylors a good wee player and the best LB in our league now that KTs gone.If hes signed then its good news IMHO

Time will tell, I guess. Looks pretty wee/lightweight to me, and think we need better quality in all honesty. Will give the guy a chance if he signs. Just looks like further downsizing though. Genuinely surprised/disappointed that the club honestly think they can “get away” with this level of replacement for KT ... shouldn’t have been, entirely predictable really. Like replacing a Ferrari with a Lada and a skateboard.

The fact he’s not Boli looks like the main (only?) positive I can see.

It’s like they’re both going to be cover for each other.

Its about being realistic i suppose ?At the end of the day Taylor is only 21 and may end up just as good or better than KT? who knows?Thing is we got £25M for Teirney but your not gony get like for like ie a £25M player wouldn't come to Scotland and we couldn't afford the wages that price tag demands.We may have been able to get somebody for £5/6M though but Taylor is a proven player in our league so i would be happy with the signing

As I said, if we’re setting the bar for LB that low, why didn’t we sign the cant 2 months ago? Or even better, last January? We’ve kinda known KT was off for over a year, and he was seriously toiling with known injuries last campaign. Makes no sense to be getting somebody like Taylor in this late in the day.

Meanwhile, our budget for wide men seems limitless ... Jamesie, new guy, Mikey, Morgan, Sinclair, Hayes, Shved, Arzani, Connell, the other new young guy last week ... have I missed any? WTF?!

Ritchie ... Wasn’t remotely expecting a like for like replacement for KT, but there’s a fecking chasm between KT’s level and Greg Taylor. Will give him a chance, but my expectations are low on this one.

Understood but from what ive seen of Taylor hes a good defender not as good going forward but with the choice of around 100 wingers to play in front of him that shouldn't be a problem?

Hes only 21, already a full international. He has huge promise and with the better facilities, coaches and players he will be with i see no reason why he shouldnt turn out to be a very good player.You cant replace KT unless you spend the 25 mill on one player. In fact more as Arsenal got him cheap as he played in Scotland.
