Alioski or Douglas?

Who would your first choice left back be?

Alioski was so frustrating yesterday, his delivery was really poor from the left and took the wrong option in shooting a few times. Also struggled defensively against their winger. Wasn't surprised that sub was made to bring Douglas on.

Douglas should be the first choice. Based on the players' ability, he should ne starting. But it just hasn't really happened for him yet at Leeds. He has had some runs of games where he has played fairly well, like the beginning of last season but just not hit the heights with his assists and goals. Alioski has had 4 goals from left back I think, with 0 for Douglas who arrived with this reputation as an all action left back.

Who starts against Barnsley?

Douglas is a left back by trade, id play him. Alioski is a good option wide or from the bench. Id like to see Alioski back on the right cutting in on his left foot.

Douglas and costa on the left for me.

No way I would move Pablo.

Costa deserves to start and if he does I’d prefer to have Douglas behind him as he knows him and he is better defensively.

You then have Harrison to bring on if it’s not working, or you want to place costa elsewhere to change things up and alioski if you are really going for it and need more attacking options if you are chasing a game.

Costa needs to start. He, as we know from the deal we signed him on, will be here next year, Harrison might not be.

I’d rather we use Costa for that reason on its face, before you even take into account that costa looks more of a threat anyway

Douglas left back, Costa left wing. Proven to be a title winning combination. Harrison imo could be better on the right wing.

Having costa on the left side with Douglas overlapping is a dreamy combo at this level.

Think this is right combo to try on the left, Alioski and Harrison isn’t working at the moment.

Douglas 100%.

Also agree with everyone that Costa simply has to start.

Douglas for me. Aliosli too wasteful. I like him but can only really see him as back up

Alioski 100% he is a much better defender and much better going forward. And in the modern game of football you want wingbacks

Douglas for me...

The team needs goals, right? Can we agree on that? I truly hope so.
So here is my problem. Why would you put Douglas in who has very few goals and very few assists ( 5 goals for Leeds and less assists, in all 12 goals in 220 matches) in stead of Alioski ho score much more goals and has many more assists (15 goals for Leeds (3rd on assist last season behind Pablo and Klich), in all 38 goals in 213 matches). Who is the more likely one to get a goal and/or assist?

The same goes for Klich. Every time everyone calls for Klich to be taken off or dropped and leav Forshaw on. Remember the team still needs goals. So you want to leav a player on that has not scored a goal since the season 2015/16 that has 14 goals in 252 matches and almost non assists and take off a player that scored 10 goals last season and almost the same amount of assist that has 36 goals in 193 matches. Again, who is the more likely one to get a goal and/or assist?
