Which striker to buy?

If we get to the end of this season and find that as I expect Rashford and Martial aren’t good enough to be the #9 for United and Greenwood is far too young to be that guy, which striker should we go for?

I’m a big fan of Paco Alcacer and he’s done very well at Dortmund after a poor time at Barca. Might be worth a shout. Maybe someone like Richarlison (not sure he plays as a 9 - is he more a winger?)

Any ideas on who the next big strikers are or even proven ones that we could go for in the summer?

He's all right in and around the box but deeper? Nah he's not as good imo.

Agree, however he hasn't been given time in the role to adapt.

He is good with the ball into feet, he holds it up well and has the ability to turn his defender. He's shown this so far this season, more experience in the role can only help.

His issue as a striker, is that he often goes periods of the game without involvement, but a lot of No9's can be accused of this.

You’re obviously in a cult as well then.

Busby is one of the original disciples. Must be an LVG thing.

We’re comparing Martial to a goodish striker, not Ronaldo. It’s not outlandish to have the opinion that he’s better.

It’s ok you can agree to disagree.

I mean yeah I can. It’s the same with Brexiters but it’s hard not to bite when they come out with ridiculous stuff like the Martial cult followers do.

Do you actually think calling Martial a better player than Laca is like being a pro Brexiter?

Martial is fine for at least this season. We need to improve our midfield. Even RW we could wait if we want to get Sancho next summer. But the midfield is important. Either get in two who are upgrades who can play with Pogba or those who'd take his space come next summer and we sell him.

Our issues seem to be the same kind that has Affected Wolves last season and also Liverpool when Klopp first came by. We'll probably get more points from teams that will attack us than those that sit deep and defend.

It's why the transfer window was an issue in that we didn't bring in enough players.

It always seems weird to say we’ll wait for Sancho when there’s no real reason to believe he’ll join us without CL football when every major club will likely wanna sign him.

It’s a vicious circle - we wait to sign Sancho and don’t bring anyone else in but because of that struggle to get CL football which is probably one of our best chances of bringing him in

I reckon he's going Utd. Loads of noise about it and apparently he's really open to the idea.

Why don't you buy that Belgian striker, Lukaki? Looks useful...
