Eriksen offered 230k a week

The only reason he might stay and sign a new contract that we can cling on to is if he likes it here and decides to change his mind about wanting a new challenge. That seems really slim to me. Other clubs can offer him more money and better chances of winning silverware. All that remains from Eriksen is that motivation to still find a new challenge, and he's gone. From his point of view he probably won't think he'll be winning anything with us this season but that may very well not be enough to keep him anyway.

In jan he’ll have loads of clubs offering that and more to get him on a free.

Well if thats he case absolutely pointless offering 230k close article.

I agree though bit too late now 230k a week he will get elsewhere ontop of his 10/20m signing on fee.

We don't know all the details..... like length of time of the new contract. Money is only one aspect, and I think not quite the only aspect for Eriksen.
Its more than likely that Levy is playing mind games and hoping to turn the player.

Leaving money incentive aside, it is pretty difficult and mentally hard to find reasons to stay if a player has already set his heart on being somewhere else. This increase in the offer made to Eriksen is neither here nor there. He’s made it clear before when he was offered an increase to £160k a week that money isn’t the factor for him?
A straight swap with Dybala could be the ideal scenario here and it is possible that is the main aim of the negotiations now. The club offering him a decent pay increase with the view to use Eriksen in the negotiations with Juve.
Eriksen that way gets his wishes and we get a playmaker?
