Amazing What a Good Win Can do

So here we go again.... Champs League time. Hopefully we learned our mistakes from last year and are much more focused/ professional in the group stages !!!

Nice to have a low key week after all the chat, speculation and general b1tching. Hopefully poch can just keep a smooth ship sailing along for a while...... Pick a RB to play RB, start Toby & Jan whenever possible and just get the team playing with a sense of adventure and urgency from minute 1 and theres not much not to like about Spurs. Hopefully our injuries are sorting themselves out, Sonny looks like he's running into one of his hot streaks, Eriksen might just have realized he aint as great as he thinks he is/ needs to play well to get his move in Jan and with the likes of Dele coming back & NDombele GLC all needing to prove themselves in the coming weeks....... things look alright

I imagine it will be a lively atmosphere tomorrow but If we are professional and keep it tight at the back its the kind of game I could see us winning fairly well..... esp if we can counter attack well

Feels like a bit of a fresh start... Lets get on a roll & lets achieve something

2-0 win tomorrow..... Kane to get both... It is September after all

COYS

IF we have an issue with Kane playing 10 mins in th FA Cup, then surely everyone should be losing their sheeet for Southgate selecting him (and usually plays a full 90) against minnows in pointless friendlies...

He's a striker, he wants to play every game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As a striker he needs to get in the box more. Keeps dropping deep and his goal scoring has tailed off a bit as a result. This season and last he has no hat-tricks and 4 braces in all comps. The season before that 9 braces and 3 hat-tricks. Something not been quite right with him for why he drops deep so often now. Did the whole "claiming Eriksen's goal" thing get in his head too much and he's trying to appear less selfish?

I'd like to think with more performances like against Palace he'll get back in that form but the fact he didn't score in that game makes me think the issue is still there.

It's a midfield problem

I hope it is.

I think it's because we basically play with two upfront now. If I'm not mistaken, when Kane was at his most prolific we played with more width and Kane was the only one in the middle. As I said, now he pretty much plays in a two with Son, so he needs to find space in different areas of the pitch.

Basically playing a 4231 with Ndombele should make us a much better team

Should

We really do need to play with more width. I have no problem with Lucas and Son drifting infield, but rarely do we see them hugging the touchline and giving full-backs a hard time anymore.

Not sure why people are worried about Harry. He’s still the best striker in Europe for me. No natural striker comes close for me. Obviously I don’t include the likes of Messi and Ronaldo as “strikers”, but there is Boone better than Harry for me when he’s on it. He didn’t score v palace, but that set up was De Bruyne esque. Absolute class act.

The only worrying thing about Harry is that he has started to move away from the "box", and started playing as a link up player in attack.

I'd rather he was in the box solely there and finishing off our chances. Though, in the last game, we were so dynamic, all the players, that it didn't matter in the end but there will be games, where Harry needs to stay in the box to finish off chances.
