Live: The Spurs Meltdown

About as obvious as anything that. Knew we would concede after that VAR decision. I have turned off.

Why keep it on when we have just been cheated ? I’m not watching anymore. Completely cheated. Perfectly good goal. Then as per usual spurs fall to pieces. So obvious.

Away form is a disgrace
Pussssssy players. As soon as the VAR ruled it out you knew we wouldn’t finish the job.

We been robbed completely off this game by those lucky inbr. ed bas***. But it’s the way we keep collapsing that I’m literally at the end of my tether with this team now. They let us down every single season. There is something seriously wrong at Spurs right now and with Pochettino.

They’ve all won something before you last did as well.

That's what tends to happen when you spend a lot of money. Wasn't too long ago that Klopp was the King at flopping in finals before he spent a bit.
=======
A common myth according to this

https://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/fuenfjahresvergleich/wettbewerb/GB1

Over the last 5 years Liverpool and Spurs have a similar net spend. (Since Poch joined)

Even if this is not entirely accurate, the difference in spending between Liverpool and Spurs is too little for this excuse to work.

Poch was officially appointed in May 2019, had a full summer to get cosy.

Klopp was official in October 2015, well into the season.

At this point they've spent about the same. Poch has had more time than Klopp has had but Klopp has been more astute in the market.

Its not really about Klopp having more money to spend. Spurs have done a lot of things right, but when it comes to transfers and player contracts, they are a joke and they are paying for it.

This is a league with Petro clubs in it, and self made giants like United too. If you are a club that relies on it's own income then your spending must be very productive in order to compete.

Spurs are still in an excellent position. They need to keep refreshing their squad with top players, players that probably won't be cheap and with time it will come. They've done well in other areas. Now get it right in the market in the coming windows and see where you get to.

Doubt it, Leicester are easy to defend against when you defend in a low block like we did. You’re similar to us in that regard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We played with 2 central defensive midfielders which was a stupid mistake and gave away a soft pen. Had we approached the game like we did against Spurs I’m confident we would have come away with something. It was night and day between the two performances

That’s exactly the point I’m making. Ridiculous approach, we are good enough to get something against United.

Yeah we did and that was a ridiculous tactic, which I moaned about as soon as I saw the lineup. You're a poor side and not a threat at all so why we went there with a negative approach is beyond me because you're not worth that type of respect. Against Liverpool or City we it could be forgiven to play two CDM's but not against you lot. We should have gone there and played our game and let you try to stop us rather than be worried about a threat that simply isn't there.
