I'm back in the UK but my son had promised my ticket to his mate so i watched the match at Birch's favorite pub.
Now i can see the issues for those at the game but we all realize if there's an issue like our disallowed goal. Offside interfering with play.
No sending off both feet off the ground but no studs raised a clear Yellow.
As for offside you have to create a line and thats that. Jack leachs foot and inch of the line no ball same with offside.
The big issue is getting this information and process to the fans at the match Rugby Cricket and Tennis can do it. So get your finger out EPL.
The real beneficiary's are the Ref's no longer the the hate figures and fodder for Thorney. Hopefully the ref's will get more confidence and make better calls and encourage younger people to become ref's
Really happy about yesterday shows we could of beaten the Manks as well
Top six yes top hmmm.... over to you.

VAR – What’s the fuss?
Leicester’s goal – correctly ruled offside
Spur’s goal – correctly ruled offside
I’m a bit fed up with debating decisions that have been made with a great deal more accuracy than they would have done previously. Off-side and VAR are the least of my worries. Hand-ball and VAR I have more trouble with, but that’s more the interpretation of handball than it is the technology. Wherever you draw the line (literally and metaphorically) there are always going to be some decisions that are incredibly marginal. VAR is about getting a much higher percentage right.
Where I have more sympathy with the arguments against VAR is with the match day experience. I was at the opposite end of the pitch to N’didi’s goal, but I didn’t bother to celebrate. I was convinced that VAR would find something wrong with it, although I’d no idea what at the time. On another occasion I thought a Leicester player handballed it in the build-up and was almost thinking ahead that VAR would intervene if we scored. I’ve got used over time to immediately looking over for a lineman’s flag when we score, but now that moment also includes a wait for a VAR review. I get that this is worthy of debate and whether it takes too much away from the game – but I’m personally less interested about arguing over marginal decisions.
To be honest I can’t see this going backwards. There will, at some point, be another serious miscarriage of justice where people will be thankful for VAR and it should consign occasions like Henry’s or Maradona’s handball to history. I don’t think we’ll have any choice but to work with it and improve it as much as possible. The game evolves and always has done.
Personally I think that Dunge’s point is a more interesting topic of debate. We had Spurs’ players falling over at the slightest touch and a referee only too happy to blow his whistle on every single occasion. I’m not sure what the answer is to this, but I feel sure that this wasn’t just me watching the match through blue tinted spectacles.

I like VAR, both goals would have been given if it wasn't for VAR and both were correctly disallowed so no arguments.

I did exactly the same. I just though there had to be something wrong in the melee.
I don’t mind the changing of decisions though as long as they are right.
My issue with that offside is that I just don’t believe the technology can be trusted with millimetres yet. I don’t believe it. If it can I’d like to know how it calculates each part of the player’s body. I also now feel it punishes the attacker way way too much and the rules need chamging. For me the simplest way would be for VAR to only look at feet being offside. All this armpit business is stupid and annoys me.
Who has EVER scored a goal with their armpit? EVER?

There was a goal for Man City which was given offside for Sterling's armpit being offside too. If a players body is offside then it's offside, no ifs no buts it's simply offside. I don't see anything wrong with that, it's crystal clear and not up for debate then. Who cares if it's millimetres or feet, it's irrelevant.

This is how its always been. Offside was offside before VAR. Refs would sometimes flag an offside and on the replay it'd be marginally correct or marginally wrong. The question was the accuracy of the decision.
Now because of VAR people are saying weird things. The only difference is the accuracy of the decision, the rules are the same, offside is offside anywhere past the half way line.
Even if the tech can't be "trusted with millimeters yet", its still infinitely more accurate than relying on a single linesman to make the decision. The linesmen have to look at the players and the ball at the same time. I always thought it was a tough job and credit to linesmen for the amount of times they get it right.
Citing accuracy as your reason for disliking VAR is a bit of a joke because VAR isn't perfect but its no doubt more accurate.
A guy drawing a line on a screen will get it right much more often than a guy on the side of a pitch carrying a flag and needing eyes on the side of his head to spot spontaneous movements of the ball and multiple players who are trying to outdo each by the smallest advantage they can gain.
I get it when people argue it takes something out of the way the game is enjoyed, but accuracy IMO is a weird one.

I can see where Dunge is coming from, although it's just an extension of what happened already, with fans celebrating only to be pulled up by a lino flagging offside.
I'm for VAR anyway, but the authorities need to find a way of involving the crowd in the dead time - and soon.

I see there was more controversy over VAR and the referees over the weekend where both missed infringements with free kicks and opposition players being in the wall, both goals for Arsenals Winner and Mahrez's free were allowed to stand?
Clear and obvious errors but the VAR didn't step in?

They need to improve it.
At the moment the implementation of VAR is a sham and its creating resistance.

It does need to be improvrd but it's early days, there are bound to be some teething issues with it but I'm sure in time they will be sorted out.
