So what is his role in the team if not to score ?

It's the same as any winger or inside forward, think Giggs, or Mane. You watch football, you know that every forward is not a striker. A true striker is, let's say, RvN à man who could score 30 goals à season. There are other top class forwards who have different attributes.

And iv given my opinion. As quick and energetic as rashford is, Lukaku is a better goal scorer than Rashford.
