Vardy has had all his appearances in his peak years. Ronaldo was a youngster who was still developing when he first started playing in the league, and coming from another country. A slightly unfair comparison.

I never said I thought Vardy was as good as Ronaldo, I said I wouldn't want Ronaldo, I don't like him and I wouldn't swap anyone for Vardy because for us he's top drawer, give him a chance and he'll score. I think Aguero is the best striker in the league but I wouldn't swap him for Vardy. That doesn't mean I think Vardy is better than him but for our team Vardy is more suited.

How can anyone deny that Vardy isn't anything more than pace and goals? That's just ridiculous.

What I like about Vardy is that whe picked, he'll guarantee two things:

1. He'll chase every ball

2. He'll be damn close to putting away the chance or make the keeper work hard for it.

Any striker that can guarantee those two, at least, are in my book, decent
