Very frustrating game on Saturday.
I think most people expected us to run over the top of Hibs on Saturday and in fairness we didn’t help ourselves with our slow start. Passive and lethargic looking, it didn’t look like the Celtic side we’ve seen this season so it was as much a surprise to me as anyone.
The Hibs goal is avoidable twice, Ajer gets caught ball watching for starters and then sticks a lazy leg out to block it and turns his back to send it in. The big man has went from looking like the dugs baws to Jack Hendry since his injury. Now, whether it’s necessity he’s playing through it given our other 2 centre halfs are injured or not he needs to get the flucking finger out. He’s had plenty of praise the last year but he’s been shocking the last 2 weeks.
After the goal I thought we dominated the game, played some good stuff and deservedly got level through Christie’s header. A bit of controversy around the goal, well, if you’re a thick Kant that is and don’t realise that it was a foul given and a foul is clearly stated by the 4th official to the Hibs manager so if his players weren’t ready when the whistle goes then that’s his fault.
After that Ntcham should have seen red, can’t push anyone in the face these days so it should have been a red card. That said it felt like every tackle we put in was a booking and Hibs were allowed 2 or 3 each with not even a flooking warning.
2nd half is where I felt Lennon got it wrong, absolutely no problem with Bayo on, but not for Edouard, I get he felt that losing the game wasn’t worth it but you still keep your best player on to get a winner. The Hayes one is more bizarre because of how he set up the team in the first place.
We created enough chances 2nd half to win the game and in fairness, should have had 2 penalties, I mean there’s not even a debate, it’s two stonewall pens. Clancy is just a poor referee and he got decisions for both sides wrong, sadly more against us.
Not a disaster of a day but it just heaps that tiny bit more pressure on this week now. 2 wins from 2 are an absolute must and if we do that then we go into the international break very happy with the start made going into October.

I'd think the club would attempt to stop his pay surely that's misconduct

Not sure they can actually do anything to keogh, he wasn't driving.
The other two are facing the Dan Mack though.
Apparently Lawrence was absolutely steaming, like wee Joe steaming when he got in the car.
