We are shiiiiiiiiiiit

I honestly don’t think I can watch this torture anymore.

The football is the most ugly, drab, negative style I’ve ever witnessed as an Arsenal fan. And to top it off, the defending is disgusting.

Hanging on against this woeful United team. Don’t know who they have next but guarantee they lose. We are pathetic

So many players looking bad and you know they are quality, I think we have enough evidence that Emery won't get it right.

We spent £72m on Pepe I still can’t get my head around it.

Not gonna pretend that I knew he would be garbage or anything but I called it from his debut that he was way too ‘raw’ for a player of his age. Surely our scouts could see how garbage he was when watching him (if they even did).

Was a big name in Europe. Supposedly highly rated and wanted by top clubs. I think we bought into the hype and jumped on the bandwagon without really assessing his qualities.

I hadn't seen much of him at Lille, but my first impressions of him when I saw his YouTube highlights were that his ball control and technical ability looked well below par.

I didn't think it would be this bad though!

Xhaka could thrive in a slower league. He is like a poor poor poor version of Pirlo...deep lying playmaker. But to do that in England requires more than a good range of passing. You need either pace, defensive abilities or the awareness needed to never get caught on the ball. He has none of this. Cesc was not quick, but his awareness got him out of trouble. Rarely lost the ball. Santi (one of my all time faves) had magic feet AND was defensively pretty good to go along with his range of passing. He was not slow either. What does Xhaka bring to the team???

I would rather play Willock than Pepe at the moment. When Laca is fit we need to keep Saka and drop Pepe. We need Tierney and Bellerin back. Xhaka needs to be dropped. Think we should try Holding and Chambers at CB. Even when Luiz has a reasonable game he ALWAYS gives the opposition a guilt edged opportunity.

Pepe needs to buck up or based on form, Saka will be taking his spot when Lacazette gets back. But this is Emery...so form means nothing

Who scouted Pepe. After 5 mins I could tell that he has no bottle no quality and no right foot whatsoever. Did none of our scouts see any of this? A few show pony tricks can be performed by kids on the beach.

I think Pepe has a decent first touch from a technical point of view. However he just seems to constantly stop the ball dead instead of moving it into the direction he wants to travel like the best players do. That then gives a defender opportunity to reset their position or, in most cases, his momentum takes him past the ball and it ends up getting stuck under his feet causing him to rush his next move.

For me that isn't a flaw in his technical ability but is a habit that should have been coached out of him by this point in his career.
