Be Brave

Poch came out and said that the club needs to be brave 2 years ago. We all knew what he meant... be brave in the transfer market. So, what bravery has the club shown in the past 2 years? Not buying a player for two transfer windows. Allowing one of our best holding midfielders of a generation in Dembele to leave without a replacement having time to bed in. Ndombele was at fault for the first two goals. The Kimmich goal, he was about 7 yards off him. Although, I do believe he will be a great player for us. Our current midfield is mid table quality at best. Allowing Trippier, our first choice Right Back to leave without an adequate replacement. Aurier . As much as I like Danny Rose, he’s on the decline so who do we buy as he’s successor? A young pup from Fulham who’s not ready for the big time.

We are a joke of a club. Going nowhere fast under our current tight, frugal owners. Rather than spend £1bn on a brand new shiny stadium with a creaking team playing in it, why not buy a £600mn stadium and plough £400mm into the squad? Hindsight is a wonderful thing. In Poch I trust. Levy, meh!

Also OP you do realise that levy got the players poch wanted this summer. If sess ain’t the answer the blame poch not levy. Same with ndombele and lo celso. These are players poch wanted.

People so blind

Ndombele REPLACED Dembele

Yeah he got Lo Celso through the door at the 11th hour after it was crystal clear that Poch wanted him ALL summer. We know how Poch needs players to adapt to his methods from early. Now the guy is injured til November at the earliest so it's probably a write off for the season. Also at present he HASNT been signed and is on loan subject to a successful loan. This is all such faffing about nonsense it's a joke.

I bet Sessegnon was more a board signing as he is British and young. Probably looking for a profit somewhere down the line. It's classic ENIC. Even Poch said Sessegnon not likely to be thrown in without a lot of hard work.

So we have not really strengthened just made some replacements and stood still.

When I made an article saying the whole mentality of the senior management at Spurs (the board) having a losers mentality I got shot down. They are just happy to count the profits. We like to take the p out of Arsenal but our board seem to be happy to just make top 4 too.

The board are completely happy to charge premium prices but seem to have no ambitions to properly challenge at the top.

A world class stadium and training ground with mid table financial backing is pointless.

The whole point of the stadium is to generate revenues that allow us to compete at a higher transfer and wage level. How can you not see that ? And we did this summer as soon as we are in it. Or do you want us to spend what we can’t afford and end up the next Leeds. Honestly some people are so out of touch with the football club that it’s ridiculous

I can't believe people still use the scenario of "doing a Leeds"

That was a whole different scenario in a different age from now.

No we will not be doing a Leeds because Levy is not a gambler like Ridsdale thankfully. But at the same time he is not am ambitious guy and that's what is holding us back.

If you have no cash from JL then sell some shares like Man City and pump some revenue into the club. Don't be so tight.

Chronic , I think Pochettino wanted a much bigger rebuild and hasn’t got it. Yes he might of got a few players he wanted, but clearly he was promised a revamp of the squad and that just hasn’t happened. We have kept the same old deadwood , plus keeping playing we know don’t want to be here. I believe Poch wanted players out and 5 new fresh faces in. He literally only got 3.

Wtf kind of signing is Jack Clarke. He has done NOTHING. Cant even get into Leeds team. Why spend £9m on shat speculative signings like these and instead put it towards bigger signings.

I hear you guys on poch wanting players out but take for example Wanyama. The deal was there and get hot greedy and couldn’t agree terms with Brugge.

What do you want levy to do? Rip yo their contracts. You can only sell a player if someone wants to buy them !

nope. but then you could apply that to absolutely every statement ever made about any kind of management of the club on this forum for ever.

i think it is widely accepted and agreed by most, if not all, that sess lo celso and ndombele are poch players

an aston villa then.. a better and more recent example of where mismanagement at the top can get you.

I`ve been saying for years that Enic are what hold us back from taking the final step to silverware, they are a business first and a football club second. One paltry league cup under their watch tells us everything about where their priorities lie.

Record profits, regular CL, refinancing of stadium debt, record revenues etc and they still can not show enough ambition in the transfer market.

Poch has worked wonders and proved over many years he is a top class coach, and so deserved to be backed properly. Instead, he got a couple of years of letting the squad stagnate from Levy and when it came to buying new players last summer, all we got was replacements for departures, no squad strengthening at all.

Levy needs to make £200m available this January and next summer for a new top class RB, LB, CB, CM and another striker.
