Ndombele

Looks to be a very good player. How Poch plays Ndombele is how we should be playing Keita imo.

He's not an attacking midfielder. I dont know why anyone at the club would think that. He's never shown himself to be that type of player.

His positioning and play against MK Dons reminded of when Coutinho used to play in midfield for us and when Klopp changed Mane's role after Coutinho left.

It's never going to work for Keita though.

He needs to start deep, sometimes even deeper than Fabinho. He's way more better when the game is in front of him.

Glad to be of help

It's like the people who said Kante needs to play as a deep midfielder next to Jorginho. Kante is all about covering the pitch and putting in tackles & playing quick releases to the forwards and pundits were asking for him to sit back

wow....this is the first time i've seen an opposition fan say this.
thank the lord.

Really?

You need to get out more.

We don't play with B2B midfielders. Keita has to operate in the inside left.

Surely that would mean I would still not see it, as most the football chat I have is on this site. mug

Klopp expects the mfs to be disciplined and cover fullbacks and eachother when they go forward. Wijnaldum for example completely different to what you saw from him at Newcastle of Netherlands, Hendos got more of a free role now and bombs on more than the others. Think Keitas still trying to learn whats expected of him but hes clearly a huge confidence player and his confidence and rhythm keeps getting interrupted by injuries. Ox is struggling to get back to what he was doing too, its like theyre new again and taking ages to get back up to speed.

Keita was bossing it for us before his last injury tbf just like Ox was. Just need them to find confidence and form and full fitness.

for me keita has had so many issues that klopp has just tried to get him involved in a place where he won't destroy the teams structure.

He is clearly a no 8 but we can't get him into the team to play box to box as he's not fit long enough ever.

milner, henderson, wijnaldum???

the question really is about keita being able to do the job without the ball and getting good shape.
