Bernardo Silva Charged over Tweet

The Portugal player, 25, is alleged to have committed an "aggravated breach" of FA rules as it included reference "expressed or implied, to race and/or colour and/or ethnic origin".

Wonder how Mr Anti Racism Sterling feels about publicly backing Silva:

"I don't feel there's any racism in it," said Sterling.

Just because it did not offend Sterling it does not mean it did not offend someone else.

Sterling hasn't done too bad since being abused by a Chelsea fan who with called him by race or the city he was playing for. He won the Football Writers award last season undeservedly as a result. He should really have kept quiet instead of backing his teammate.

Klopptimus .........l’ll just this here.

Jamie Carragher has personally apologised to Patrice Evra and said Liverpool made a ‘massive mistake’ by backing Luis Suarez in the 2011 racism row between the two players.

Suarez was banned for eight matches by the Football Association for using insulting and abusing language towards Evra, including a racist remark about the colour of the Frenchman’s skin, during Manchester United’s visit to Anfield in October 2011.

“What message do you send to the world? Supporting someone being banned because he used some racist words?”

Good to see one of Liverpool’s club legends thought the club were wrong. 👍

Wow.

Did Carra say the statement you put in quotes. You have a link for that?

Can't wait.

You bloody fool!

Carragher apologised and said the club made a “massive mistake” hence me saying “Good to see one of Liverpool’s club legends thought the club were wrong.”!

Are you saying he didn’t apologise?

Now let’s address the statement in the quotes, which I believe was a very valid question from the interviews.

Did I say Carragher asked the question or are you assuming I’m saying he did?

Can’t wait! 😜

1 game ban. Lucky boy who's racist tweet backed by Sterling.

I’d say 1 game is in line given bans they’ve given previously. Terry got 4.

Pathetic that he is banned at all.

If you get a one game ban for posting a picture that he thought looked like his mate which some Liverpool fans claim was racist it makes you wonder how on earth that the same fans and their club claimed Suárez hadn’t been racist towards Evra but yet he received an eight game ban!

So he didn't say what you put in quotes then?

Never mind though, I'm no longer interested.

Ooh a response at last and to think you couldn’t “wait”!

I never said he did! You assumed that !

The quote was in reference to Liverpool football club saying they wanted to “show the world” that they were backing Suárez something I mention early on in this thread, even before the interview, the same interview where Carragher apologised over the club getting it wrong in backing Suárez.

“ Never mind though, I'm no longer interested.” throwing your toys out of the pram are we?
