Well, to be fair, cheaters have to be punished. Leeds got a 200K fine for watching oppo training session. Which is not as bad as cheating in the actual match.

It's a strange one because it seems like a technicality of him being allowed to play in some competitions but the approval not applying for others. That's the impression I got.

Expulsion would have been harsh. Not sure why the fine is split in two.

He's nothing more than a reserve player which is the crazy thing about it. It's not as if it was a huge advantage.

The actual prize fund for league cup is a pittance compared to fa cup.

100k for winning, 50k runners up. Losing sf is 25k

It really is just worth gate and tv money.

100k fine, on presumption the other half is never needed is more than comp is worth but the arsenal gate will pay it.

Right decision. It would be a travesty to throw us out of a mickey mouse competition.

Liverpool are England's most successful club and recent European champs. The cup needs us more than we need it.
