Reading the articles in the press you would think we already had Jones in the bag. Its 5-6 days now since the story came out and STILL no confirmation on the club website. Its has been made out that we were 100% getting him but on the gossip this morning it appears a clause in his contract has made the deal hit a snag. I am excited by this signing but the longer this drags on before it is wrapped up on the club website I get increasingly worried the deal will collapse completly. Anyone know the details of what the problem is???

The owners of Blackburn think the wording on the contract means the £16m buyout clause means we can only talk to him before making a bigger offer, they want £25m But it will most likely end up with them being forced to let him go, seems pretty desperate from their owners.

It's all down to the fact their owners are DUMB !!
Buy out clause has been met, terms agreed but they think they can demand more.
My word they must be some dumb people !

Dumb? Well, on the one hand they are multi-millionaires....
But, on the other - they did actually pay good money to buy Blackburn FC...
They did claim they could make the club into Champion contenders...
...whilst announcing that the manager would have a whopping £5m for transfers this season...
They did sack Fat Sam and give the job to yes-man and backstabber Kean...
They did accept a list of transfer targets drawn up by the agency which represented those players...
...and now they believe in their naivety that they know better than the experienced OT legal team and are trying to squeeze more money by trying to sell Jones to a club he does not want to go to...
So yes, pretty dumb I guess!
