Positive is that defensively we looked better today and for me Chambers and Kolasinac were our best players. However in terms of creativity, Emery has really suffocated our game.
We started the game well but faded off big time.
Not playing Ozil in a home game against Bournemouth is an absolute joke. Fans bang on about Ozil not trying but when your captain is xhaka who is also someone that plays every week, without hesitation, that's when you know there is a clear agenda against Ozil. Fine you don't want him at the club but at least have him as an option on bench ffs.
We are playing exciting football in the cups but the football in the league is turgid, lacking imagination and generally very very dull.
Also, we desperately need Laca back. Pepe is giving us nothing. It was another poor performance.
You look at someone like Mount at Chelsea and see what he is doing, does make you think, have we bought a dud.
I would like to think he would improve when Laca is back
Is anyone enjoying this brand?

You're using his salary to justify playing him when you know full well that his performances stopped being worth his salary before he even got that pay rise.

Read my comment again. I am actually saying his mind has gone since we gave him the money. So I am actually saying his salary is why we should NOT play him.

Find it hilarious that fans actually think Ozil isn't good enough to get into this team. Look at my history on here, I called out Ozil right at the beginning.
However, in the current squad, he is more than good enough to be playing, especially at home

Özil is a quality footballer. Make no mistake about it.
I think he would walk into any side if he only had a no-nonsense taskmaster behind him.

I never said he wasn't good enough Castor. You're confusing my disgust at his work rate for my critiquing his talent. Blokes one of the most talented players ever to where the shirt. But he is a lazy git who refuses to even just stand in the way of opposition attackers. So in the PL that makes him useless unless you are a far far stronger team than we are.
You need all 10 outfielders defending to succeed in the league. Can just about get away with one or two doing a bad job even. But no team in this league can afford a starter, that defensively absent. How good he is attacking doesn't matter.
Real only got away with carrying him becausevthey only had two other teams worth playing. Even Real couldn't do the same in the PL.

Saka has played a few games. Fans need to chill out with the young players.
They will be very up and down throughout the season

DT speaks a lot of sense and pretty much suming up what I have been saying.

I completely agree not starting Ozil against the big six away from home but not to have him available at home against a team like Bournemouth is criminal.
Some fans obviously prefer the turgid approach and seeing players like Torreira playing as the creator

It's terrible football...even more boring than under "1-0 to the Arsenal ..George Graham". We were crying out for some creativity from the bench. Where was Ozil ??
We're third but we've only played 8 games . Leicester and Chelsea look better than us. Look at the Wolves result today. When was the last time that we produced something like that ?

International break is upon us, that gives the returning players, Bellerin, Holding and Tierney time to build up their fitness and work as a unit with one of the other CBs my preference would be Chambers.
This back four has the potential to be very safe and also the full backs have shown good attacking ability in Europa games they have featured in.
Midfield is where we have been poor defensively and on the wings. I have been impressed with Ceballos does remind me of Santi. I agree with previous poster. I like Willock, Torreia, Ceballos and Guendouzi for midfield, no place for Xhaka, as a four with a front 2 of Lacazette and PEA.
That is a 4-4-2 if you need to go to 4-3-3 then drop Willock and bring in a third player up front.
I would like to see a 5-2-2-1 used more often with Sokratis dropping into the centre half position with a two of Guen and Torreia with Lacazette as the one up front the other three I am not sure about.
Lets hope that Emery agrees with me on the back four!

They are trying to get him out the club and off the wage bill by not playing him. I don't really agree with that approach, I think he should be treated better.
