Where do we start?
Unfortunately for us, the whole squad picked yesterday to be the day they all hit the self-destruct button in what was an important game before the international break.
Ultimately we've picked up 1 point from 6 in the last 2 league games, completely unacceptable for a Celtic team.
Firstly, i'll start with Lennon. He can't compliment the strength in depth at his disposal then not make changes 3 days after a energy zapping European game to then say the players were a little fatigued!! Bayo, Ntcham, Sinclair & Biton should all have started yesterday or at least played more of a part then 30 mins ffs. Add in the fact we looked completely unprepared for the physical battle with Captain marvellous once again sheidting it when the chips are down and the invisble Forrest once again hiding behind his man at every turn when he knows he'll be clattered.
Having said all that, the man really to blame yesterday is Christie. Before the red card he had the first touch of John Leslie. He was abysmal and then his moment of madness happened, it's a ridiculous challenge, a leg breaker and he should be embarrassed by it. He's rightly received a lot of plaudits this season but yesterday he cost us the game. I've heard a lot of talk about it not being like him, absolute nonsense. Ryan Christie does have that type of tackle in him, he often lunges in and plays right on the edge. He should have been sent off against that mob from Estonia ffs
After that we still tried to win the game but the defending for both goals is shambolic, being a man down meant we struggled to press the ball but that still shouldn't stop Ajer and Julien from doing basic defending, although i admit they were trying to do more than they normally would need too.
We never really looked like scoring in all honesty and it's a massive wake up call, we've went from 3 clear and a +5 GD advantage to 2 behind and a -6 GD advantage
It's early days and Rangers will quite rightly enjoy the next 2 weeks but we now need to go on a run of 5 or 6 domestic wins to ensure we don't lose all of the good work we've done until now.
We're still 5 points or so better off than this stage last year but make no mistake, Rangers are a better side and whilst they've had an easier start with 5 home games from 8, they don't look like they'll drop many points from the teams outside of us.

Didn’t see much of the game-bits of the first half. We were struggling before Christie was sent off, but we might have done better with 11 on the park. Listened to the rest on the radio, and it just sounded like a poor game that we huffed and puffed through without even really threatening.
Team should have been freshened up a bit from Thursday. No point having a big squad if we’re not going to use it. Said a few weeks ago Ajer isn’t the player some think he is, and I think he believes his own hype more than anything.
Dropping points 2 games in a row isn’t good, but I didn’t think we would go the whole season without doing that. I think the season could go a bit like this-one team on top for a couple of weeks before the other one goes past them.
Bit of thinking for Lennon to do.

Dreadful yesterday , and I only seen the first half but it was no surprise to see we had lost ...the game had it written all over it 5mins in

Reading through the posts Irvine makes a brilliant point , 2 games when we've been in need of a goal and Lennon brings on Hayes whilst Bayo, Ntcham , Sinclair sit on the bench
Really? That's just madness .
Yesterday was tailor made for a start for Bayo ,..give him some game time etc ...yet naw...we will play Edouard on that pitch
What's the script.with his hand ? Is it a fashion thing ?

Well that was fun. Quite amazing how a few bhoys have there collective heads in the sand...some deeper than others. Perhaps they will be proven right in the end. For me the fun part about yesterdays live thread was Dumb and Dumber back and forth in total agreement that Christies red card was a travesty and that the appeal would be on the desk before the game ended etc..Comedy gold
