I did this article in 2016 on our favorite poster - Robb's forecasting abilities. See how it panned out for Mourinho Klopp escaped the curse.

Foretelling of Mourinho's eventual demise

Jose has been our most successful manager since SAF left. And may stay that way for a long time. Of course, it ended badly but compared to the shiiiitshows around him he was a relative golden age.

He also spent the most. Hard to compare him to someone like Moyes who spent $70m.
Moyes £70m
LVG £316m
Mourinho £419m
Ole £140m
They've all failed miserably considering nearly a billion pounds of squad reinvestment.

Dunno if the money argument is that relevant
People criticise his signings as saying they’re not good enough so it can’t be both - you can’t say someone succeeded because they spent the most but also have people saying the signings were rubbish

But you can say he had the best chance for success.

It isn't when you spend it well.

Can you compare the outlay , Mourinhio spent more but got us finishing 2nd. It's hard now with the cost of players , SAF made some duff signings, veron, kleberson , Alan Smith , kagawa , djemba djemba, liam Millar , forlan , in today's market that would be significant money down the drain.
