It doesnt give any context. You score a lot against fodder countries. You are up against a bit of a footballing country and you struggle.

There’s definitely a case to be made when looking at these three at club and international level.

Would take the France or Argentina front three over ours

Just means each of the 3 are flying for their clubs. On paper could be the best. But England have had plenty of decent players over the years... on paper

The British media, especially regarding sports/football, are always incredible shallow. Only able to look at obvious stuff like goals/assists, but they forget that those front 3 are spoonfed by amazing foreign playmakers or runners who create space for them to thrive in. When playing for England they always get starved of the ball/good opportunities and become more and more selfish.

But these English players stand out among, or even more so, than many of their foreign counterparts in club and international football. It’s hardly a revelation that a team that struggles in the build up will make it more difficult for the forwards, but that doesn’t detract from just how good Kane, Sterling and Sancho are at football.

Look around international football and there’s few with a front three as good as that. Midfield, defence and goal keeper is another matter, however.
