The thing with Cantona is that while he is probably the most influential player of the PL era, he wasn’t the best. He was perfect for United but there are definitely more talented players.

For the 95-96 season alone, Cantona would have to be near the top of the list. Single handedly won United a double, back when the league was competitive and reeling off 18 wins in a row wasn't a once a year occurrence

Had he not been suspended Cantona would probably have won 6 league titles in a row

Maybe not the best ever PL player but for me the spark that lit the fire for us and arguably the most important United player ever.

If Nasri wasn't such a moron, he could have easily made this list.

Cantona the greatest for me.

That's not take anything away from Henry, who was the best of the mere mortals.

Cantona wasn’t just better than Vieira, he was a higher being,Vieira was decent, not quite Roy Keane, but Eric was from a different dimension

Someone thinks Viera was better than Cantona? I can't see that at all. But I would have Henry as better.
