United did what they had to do, but you can gaurentee the same United fans celebrating their point today, will be lambasting their players next week for not showing the same level of commitment.
Beyond the last 20 minutes, thought we were poor today, so happy with the point.
Back on track next week against Spurs at home.
Exactly the type of game we need after today.
Onwards and still top.😀

Also, 6 subs, James on the deck for about 6 minutes, 5 minutes injury time.🤔

Actually the mane goal maybe should have been given as is deflected off his thigh onto his hand as per this rule-

Players will be ‘given extra leeway’ when the ball deflects off an arm or hand.

If the ball deflects off an opponent or teammate and it’s deemed impossible for the player to move their arm or hand in time, a handball won’t be given.

That’s also the case if the ball comes quickly from a body part of their own.

I guess if this relates to all handballs then was this not a legit goal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think there's an extra rule when it comes to scoring a goal. Even if the handball is unintentional, it gets ruled out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Beyond what happened today, VAR is an utter mess.

What happened at Tottenham yesterday showed VAR is a mess, cast iron penalty not given for a start then Alli goal given for the same reason Manes was disallowed today, then the farcical wrong decision on the big screen

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was gonna mention Ali’s goal was just the same as mane. Just no consistency

I thought it was only if the goal comes from the handball, ie hits off the arm and in, or is an assist with the arm. Not sure about Mane's one, if it should be handball or not. Harsh if it should.

Yeah, if that was a defender and VAR had given a penalty, I think you’d feel hard done by. The ball barely brushed his hand didn’t seem to alter the flight of the ball, and his arm was in a natural position.

That being said, I’ve not got any issue with the goal being disallowed today.....

I have to say Atkinson was hilarious.

He books fabinho cos he stretches out a leg. deserved.btw.

he ignores rojo professional foul. totally. rojo knew exactly what he was doing.

he gave every single Utd flop.

he stops game for James once and then ignores the lad thereafter despite him getting a slight dig.

he ignores a clear foul cos origi "flopped a bit" allowing a controversial and wrong goal.

he gives mane's goal then gets over ruled.

he lets Utd time waste from the off. young took a minute over every throw.

there was one occasion Utd got a goal kick and sky decided they had time to do a full cricket draft advert before Utd would get round to it.

absolutely hilarious.

Liverpool didn't deserve much frankly but the reality is Utd didn't actually deserve much either from their paltry few shots. 0-0 would've been fair.

so I'll take 1-1 and gladly. we were awful.

Henderson in general was just rubbish.
wijnaldum did well but faded second half
origi was awful. he had the run on lindeloff then never applied himself and was on his heels most of game.
mane was disrupted.by being on right
firmino looked jet legged.

I have to say things wont always go right so thats that. the one positive was keita coming on and looking busy and wanting to be on ball for his little cameo.
