This is the weakest Arsenal side we've had in years.

Literally every 3rd touch is a tackle, when under pressure.

Practically zero first touch across the board. Other than Calum Chambers obviously.

Next to no presence in the air, both in defence and attack.

Plus a crop of full internationals from the esteemed footballing nations of Greece, Bosnia, Ivory Coast, Switzerland and Uruguay.

Really? We came from the Denilson era and you think THIS team was weak? No... let's get it right, the team isn't weak. The management / coaching is. Sure there are some mentality issues (wtf was going on with that goal) but the team, as a whole, isn't weak.

We could always count on players all over the pitch who were comfortable with the ball at their feet even during the "Denilson" years.

Sure, some of them would turn to jelly as soon as an opponent ran at them with the ball, but that was then. Now we have players who don't even want the ball in the first place.

Players who would rather hide for 90 minutes. Players who are too scared to even open themselves up for a throw in. Players who start panicking as soon as the keeper catches their eye and rolls the ball out to them.

I'm just trying to be measured and not jump on the bandwagon that this is the worst Arsenal team in the world! Not that I'm suggesting anyone here would say that...!

So you were happy with Mr Pass It Sideways Denilson? Just as the very first example? How many decent performances do you remember from him alone? Seriously I know things are bad but to play up that team as a means of putting this one down is as dumb as... Emery!

No, one CB - we have Holding.

We need a replacement for Ramsey & Ozil.

Well we have Saliba coming in the Summer of 2020 actually so Holding + Saliba should be a very good future pairing as we phase out Mustafi, Sok & Luiz.

We've had worse personnel before but Wenger got them playing out their skin and above their level. Once they left they did nothing else where

IDK but in my opinion this squad is good enough to achieve Top 4 and with a few quality additions (including a new manager) has the potential to challenge for the title.
