The U19s drew 2-2 with Young Boys at Firhill last night, having been behind twice. That draw was enough to take them through on away goals after the 3-3 in the first leg.
Excellent battling performance from the Gers who were the better football team over the two legs. Young Boys were bigger and more physical but technically Rangers were superior.
Young Boys scored with two pieces of magic from their wee number 10. He didn't contribute a huge amount to the game generally but his two finishes were excellent so he might be one to watch.
Gers two full backs Paterson and Maxwell were excellent again last night - athletic and keen to get forward but also very capable defensively.
Nathan Young-Coombs put in a real shift on the right of the front three and scored with a great finish. Dapo, Kai Kennedy and Kieron Dickson all caused problems at various times during the game as always.
Bit of a tough trip to play Slovan Bratislava up next for the Gers youngsters....

It was a really pashy night to be fair.
I thought it would be around the 1k mark.
They may try and push the next home on the 6th Nov game a wee bit more. There doesn't seem to be a midweek card on that week.
