Sandro Tonali Transfer Rumour

Well, it's nearly November and the transfer gossip has already started. We have Manny from Juventus raging on since the summer and then Muller and Kai. Now to add a new guy to the list. Declan Rice, Sean Longstaff and Lille youngster Boubakary Soumare are others. Now it's Tonali.

Tonali is only 19,has an international cap and is dubbed the next Pirlo. Anyone actually seen him? We're not the only ones linked with him though.

At least we’ve had a nice discussion about the pros and cons of this young lad signing for United.

There's never much to discuss with stories like tbh as I would imagine very few on here have seen him play enough to judge, if at all.

I'm never against signings like this if he has the potential the recent reviews seem to suggest.

I was being facetious, to be fair. Trying to add a bit of comic relief to this tedious RDDippo debate.

This is why I filtered the plank. Has never watched them play at U23 or U18 level, and has absolutely no idea about the history and traditions of the club, but yeah, none of them have “earned the right to be anywhere near” the first team.

.....................................
I never watched the u23 or the u18 level, oh no! I missed out on the chance to see a bunch of overhyped youngsters, how terrible! Weren't you going on about how great everything was in the summer?

To play for Man Utd, you should have to earn it by going out on loan and proving that you are one of the best players in England. Like Tuanzebe did this season.

The history of the club is exactly that, history. The class of 92 was a one off fluke, it won't happen again especially not in modern football. as long as we stick with young players, we won't be relevant. just like arsenal have not been releveant for 15 years.

people like you would rather stick to some outdated idea than win.
---------------------

And yet here are Chelsea, our opponents tonight, building a new steam around their promising young players.

And it is absolute rubbish to say that you have to go out on loan to prove you deserve a chance at United. Youngsters develop at different ages. Some need to go out on loan to hone their skills. Others are ready to go into the first team squad at 17/18. It also depends who they have ahead of them at the club as to whether a loan is the right move for them. The idea that there is a one size fits all approach to developing youngsters is ridiculous. Which is what we have come to expect from you.

we spent properly twice:

The first summer with lvg

The first two summers with Jose

How did that go unchecked.

That is three times not twice.

There's a difference between being excited to see young players get minutes versus clamouring for them to be in the first team.
.............................
"I'm excited for Chong to be in the first team but I don't want him to play in the first team"

wtf are you saying.
----
What he said and what you understood are two different things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
dunc said people were wrong to be "bleating on about chong" and he was right.

nobody ever said anything about "clamoring" or "being excited".

in any case, the only correct attitude to take was "chong should never play for the first team" and anyone who disagrees with this is a fool.

Here is an article where Berbaking was bleating about how it would be nice to see Chong in the first team by the way https://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/407974

You're a wum. Can't believe I fell for it. "Would have been nice to see Chong." is the only sentence mentioned about him.

Again, you don't understand what's written.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"would have been nice to see chong in the first team" this is the exact sentiment dunc was criticising.

dunc was right, you were wrong.
--------
BK wasn't bleating about Chong nor did the context of the article match what you or Dunc claim.

I don't want to go around in circles with this so I'll not comment further on this point as it is RDD level of BS.

Good Lord Hippo. You mean you have been wrong for ten years? Time to learn.
Fergie and lots of others have built a team, and that skill is still relevant, nothing to do with history.

Even by your standards, Hippo, this is painfully embarrassing.

I made a passing reference to a player that it would have been nice to see at close quarters in a dead rubber, last game of the season, nothing left to play for game at home to already relegated Cardiff City.

This isn't exactly an example of "bleating on about Chong", which nobody has been doing. Virtually every comment about Chong gets caveated with the fair observation that he's very, very raw and the least 'ready' of the young players who have been given minutes over the last couple of seasons (including this one).

CIC is completely correct. You're having an howler here.

The grouping of opinion together is what gets me.

As an example, myself, BerbaKing, rosso, Elvis, VC and Winston are all fans that are proponents of the academy. But we are have vastly differing views on how, and whom, should be drafted in alongside other signings.

Hippo acts like we are one voice, screaming for the club to have operated just as it has. Which is even more stupid given how much rosso and I despise Ed Woodward for the way he’s run the club.
