None of our midfielders are of top quality

This is where the problem lies and has been since Emery took over.

I actually think we have better defenders than midfielders at the club. If you compare the two, defenders for me come up top.

Wolves had what 25 shots today and were constantly walking through our midfield. This has been happening in every game practically.

What's the point of having over £150M of talent up front when you probably have arguably the weakest MF for the last 20 years.

Xhaka and Torreira are not good enough to be in our MF. I know Torreira has a lot of fan boys but whatever position he players in, whether it's DM or in a advanced position, he isn't good enough. Let's face it, he is too light weight to play the DM role.

Then you have Guendouzi. I will say it again, the kid has a lot of potential but he should Not be a regular starter for Arsenal.

Would any of these 3 players get into the Wolves team?

We were the envy of many teams due to our MF in the past. Viera, fabregas, Rosicky, Cazorla. The football at times was breathtaking

What we have now is just a group of midfielders that are not technically great, lack physical strength, slow, don't have great mobility and give us absolutely nothing in terms of goals or assist

We need spend well over 100M to fix the MF. The problem has been there ever since Santi got injured and recruitment for midfielders since has been extremely poor.

Then when you combine a completely clueless manager to instruct these players in terms of tactics andnformations, it's always going to go one way

Guendouzi struggles when we're on the back foot and under bombardment. That part of his game will come with time, experience and earning tactical awareness through a better manager than Emery. When we're on the front foot, his urgency is fantastic.

After all these years, we're still crying out for a long legged black man to play the box-to-box role. I don't think the quality of our players is the issue, we just do not have a single combination which seems to provide the right balance.

Okay Barca for example. He could replace Rakitic or Busquets. Imagine him next to Arthur and De Jong pulling the strings

The fact still remains that a raw 19-year old Ligue 2 midfielder marched straight into a nailed-on starting spot more than a year ago, and hasn't had any meaningful competition for his place since.

Our midfielders are better than Liverpool's yet they are top of the league. Good defenders and forwards can carry worse midfields than ours.

January we need to sign a respectable holding midfielder but who can we realistically get that wouldn't cost over £50 million? another option to improve our attacking options in midfield is the return of Cesc Fabregas, he's 31 still not that old and I'm sure he would be open to returning back to the Emirates. I don't think he would cost that much.

No chance! Wijnaldum is a beast, none of our midfielders would get in the Liverpool 11, apart from possibly Ozil. I don't really rate Henderson highly but he does work hard for the team, Fabinho and Keita also look decent, Milner again another hard working player who can play centre mid, on the wing, or left back and right back

Wijaldum is very underrated

I rate Torreira highly and he has shown his ability when playing deeper. However, he has not been afforded the chance to build a partnership with anyone at that base due to Emery changing his midfield every week. Then this season, you have Torreira occupying the AM space which is stupid.

Guendouzi...I am not sold on the idea he should start every game for us. Despite the hype and energy, I think he still has a long way to go. For me, ideally, Guendouzi would play in cup competitions, come of the bench in th ed league or start some league games at home. Keep going the way he is, he will burn out and we will ruin a takent.
