Going for 55.
A well known saying in Scotland the past 4 years and like Rangers, Celtic were kept waiting but make no mistake, we could have went for 55 goals on Saturday
A mixture of good goalkeeping and extremely jammy Hibs luck stopped that from being double figures on Saturday. That said, Hibs could have scored 3 or 4 as well.
We started the game well and apart from a wee lull in both halves in which we let Hibs have a couple of chances, we were totally dominant and in Elyounoussi and Edouard we have two boys of the very highest level. Both players cost a combined total of £25 million so you would expect big things but they’ve still got to go and do it and both of them have been outstanding this season.
Amazingly, none of them were my MOTM, no, it was an 18 year old kid we got for £200,000 from Manchester City. Jeremie Frimpong, what an absolute wee star in the making. I think it speaks volumes that we haven’t missed El Hammed the last few weeks. Defensively I think we’ve seen enough to know he can handle himself now but going forward he’s bloody terrific, he also has an end product too which is rare for young players.
Scott Brown getting a double probably summed up how poor Hibs are to be honest thought him, Rogic and McGregor were superb in midfield though. Few people had written Rogic off but if managed correctly he’s a standout for us too.
Thought Madden handled the game well but obviously he missed the most blatant handball I’ve ever seen Eddy was also offside for the 2nd goal but I had to laugh at Heckingbottom slate the referees. That’s two games against Hibs and they’ve got away with 3 stonewall pens
Atmosphere was class, right reb fest mind you
Big final now but I’m very confident for it. We play well, we’ll win, simples.

No predictions from me for the final its not played until the 8th of Dec, that's 5 weekends away anything could happen before then.
One game at a time, Lazio in Rome first, Motherwell, Livingston, Rennes, Ross County and Hamilton all before the final.
Looking forward to it, but way to early for a prediction.
unless your name is............Bob.

We have goals flying in from every area of the team, been a long time since I was so confident of regularly sticking 4 or 5 past our opponents.
It will be great to get wee Johnston back in the team too, his spark really carried the team early season when things weren't clicking as well.
If Eddy needs a rest I think Elyanoussi could play upfront with Mikey on the left, Lennon has to make sure Mikey's breakout season keeps it's momentum coz it's very unlikely we'll have Elyanoussi long term if he's on £60k a week.

I'll give you a prediction for the final.
Two good teams going to war for at least 90mins.

So confident in us just now....Johnston to come into an electric forward line too is pleasing.
As has been said it's a while away yet but it's gonna be a cracker isn't it. Nervous wait to see if successful in the ballot. I'd imagine that will be the tail end of next week before we find out.
Ideal the midweek before the final we are at home to Hamilton so we can afford to rest Edouard if LG is fit and maybe a few others. Rangers on the other hand are up at Pittodrie.
2 more massive games ahead this week.....more nervous about the Sunday one....Thursday there's no pressure and it's a bonus.

Lazio got another decent away win last night
That's Fiorentina and AC Milan they've beaten away since they played us, both games they scored late on to win it
Sunday will be tough at home to Motherwell, we'll more than likely go into that game 2nd

Rangers are down as a 3pm ko on Sunday too, unless the BBC have that wrong. Tough game for them too

Both games are 3pm kickoff on Sunday. Rangers are on Sky TV. Not often both sides play at same time - adds extra spice to the games.

I'm glad you won on Saturday Hibs would have given us a tougher match in the final.
First trophy for Rangers is a stick on now

I admire your optimism.
