Casilla has been........

........charged with alleged breach of FA Rule E3 which relates to general behaviour. Violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting behaviour - are all examples of improper acts which the FA deem to bring the game into disrepute.

Well, I hope this can be resolved in a positive way as it seems that his performances on the pitch have been much better recently, but it also needs to be resolved in the right way.

Now, if he said to Berra, "are you seriously gonna try and mark that big black f****r?", he could be in deep doo-doo

very interesting though Tall... as yes, that would be deemed as racist.. but, break it down, is it really racist?

You see, I grew up in a very multi-cultural neighborhood, and my circle of friends at school and to this day is a very good mix of all cultures, so my views on this subject are a little more diluted. The banter that we share between us is brilliant, for instance I played for the Caribbean cricket club, and was the only white guy in team - to this day my best mate (who was the wicket keeper in the team back then) calls me Slim Shady.. that's not because I can 'spit bars' like a rapper.... its purely because I'm white... now, another we know now is Asian, his nickname (of endearment) is Osama... its purely because he's Asian and has a beard.. all this is racial stereotypes yes... but to us, its banter.. BUT, is racism what you say? - or how you mean it?

The wicket keeper mate, openly and freely refers to me as the 'N' word, despite me being as pasty white as you can get - that word to him, means nothing at all but 'mate'.. and when we're in the car listening to some Jay-Z and we're singing along, we're both repeating these words

I totally get there is racism in life and football, no doubt.. but, is it being over blown a little where actually things are not racist at all? - Bernado Silva's tweet to his friend Mendy was deemed as racist.. but was it really?

There is so much controversy surrounding this subject that even I had to think twice before I posted this.. but, if racism is not in your soul, how you think, why can't you air these things, or talk openly?

I hope nobody mis-interprets my post... it is subject I feel very strongly about

Spanish - what you have said is that among mates you can say certain things that everyone knows are meant in a certain way.

But when you are playing cricket against another team you are ultra competitive with and you try and lay the same terminology at one of them, you are up a creek without a paddle.

Context is important and the context is that if you do t know them well, You don’t say it.

Tall, yes I totally get that..

I guess one of the points I was trying to make was context..and as I pointed out because I’m so used to being in the company of different cultures my view is diluted.. there is world of different in my view from the disgusting chants to sterling, done by opposing fans, an act of hate, to Silva’s Tweet to mendy which was done in friendship.. but both deemed as racist.

Also, I remember a game we played vs ramgaria, I wasn’t just the only white guy on my team, but the whole pitch.. how do you think any player on that pitch would refer to me? The one with the biceps? Nah, the white guy.. “bounce this white guy out”.. I didn’t take it as racist at all.. where was the untruth?

Discrimination, good and not so good is part of the
human condition...we discriminate all the time on
people's class, age, how rich or poor, individuals
choice of team they support...and yes race.
Political correctness has bullied and brainwashed
the public, made them fearful...context is harder
to define now so it becoming more and more
confused...where are the red lines?
Racial discrimination is obvious in the case of
the Bulgaria game and affair and should be
rightly condemned...but quite often we don't know
what constitutes racial prejudice, we lack details and
we're not told and it's left to our imagination of what
was said between individuals, pc intervenes...
5 stars to Spanish for his honesty!

I've read both your posts on this and 100% get where you're coming from. Very honest and very fair reflections of how I think most people live.

Having worked across the globe in a variety of countries and cultures - I really do enjoy the differences, if it's right to call them that.

my absolute mantra in life is to treat anyone, regardless of anything, as i'd expect or like to be treated.
