January will soon be here in no time and we might need a few players to join us. I assume Ole has provided a list of targets. Question is, would it be highly disappointing if Ed didn't bring in one of those targets immediately the window opens i.e. one or two weeks after it's opening? I imagine we should be negotiating and finalizing deals before it even opens.
I intend to blame Ed for any delays in getting in additional players.
Also, do we expect players to leave in January? If so Who?

That’s interesting, the only Nani penalty I remember was the CL final one.
---------------------
Shoot-out penalties aren't included in a players stats.
Nani did score 1 of the 3 penalties he took for us, against Southampton in the FA Cup.

No, not saying Nani is a better finisher, just that he wasn’t bad but also loved to shot from silly distances and was very frustrating at times.
Personally I think Nani was better for us, but let’s see what Martial can do in the future.

Nani wasn't a consistent source of goals but despite that he could finish and finish well at times.
Of course his conversion rate wasn't that great as he took a lot more shots from outside the box and his role was more often than not that of a traditional/inverted winger than a supporting goalscoring wide forward/centre forward so he would naturally spend more time outside the box anyway.

In terms of combined goals and assists in the PL, Martial averages a goal or assist every 2.16 appearances, and Nani every 2.13.
Again, that is fairly rough, as it should really be minutes played to be more accurate.

Sure but I wouldn’t personally rate a player simply on stats. In terms of entertainment and significance of their contribution I prefer Nani. He was unbelievably frustrating at times but I usually didn’t mind (probably because we had so many other quality players) where as with Martial and his manner I’ve never really warmed to him.

I hear what you are saying mate. Nani frustrated the hell out of me, but as you say, could be great to watch when on form. Martial I think can be a clinical striker. That said, he does get bums of seats at OT when he is operating out wide.

Nani is a true analogy of the current squad
he'd be first choice RW in this team and probably be our best attacker
back then he was at best first alternate

Tbf it wouldn’t be hard being our current first team RW as we don’t actually have any which is insane.
